Dr. Stephen Dean Breda, MD

Dr Breda is a good doctor. He helped my mom, daughter and me. He's knowledgeable, listens,explains everything thoroughly, and resolved our issues.

After suffering 15 years with a chronic cough and clearing of throat and seeing a total of 6 different ENT doctors Dr. Breda was the only one that correctly diagnosed and solved my problem. I had both GERD and a nasal bone spur (5mm) in size. I had an operation for GERD (Neilson Fundoplication) and hoped this would solve the chronic cough, but it only helped. It did not solved the problem. I had a cat scan of my sinuses which revealed a large bone spur. All 5 other ENTS cleaned my ears, told me I had a deviated septum and recommended I drink more water and change my diet. Only Dr. Breda suggested that the bone spur may be the problem. I had a septoplasty procedure and the cough it now gone. Thank You Dr. Breda!!! Worthy of 10 stars!

Dr Breda ordered a Cat Scan after I had one the prior year with another doctor, saying Insurance needed it. Had the scan then was told by Insurance that it was not required, especially after having had one so recently. Didn't need the extra radiation or expense. He never looked me in the eye nor seemed sure of any diagnosis.

I am finally getting treatment. Excellent Doctor.

Staff is horrible! They r horrendous

I can not review this doctor because the staff member who answers his phone refuses to give me an appointment because she says he does not accept Blue Cross. I called Blue Cross and they said yes, he does accept it. I have this insurance through my full time job, and for her to tell people he does not accept it when he does is going to destroy his credibility. She argued with me that he does not accept Blue Cross of Massachusetts, and only accepts Blue Cross of Ct. What the difference is I don't know. I ran that one by Blue Cross and they said that also is not true. He accepts that as well. I can understand if she is ignorant of this fact, but this doctor is going to lose not only his credibility, but also many patients as Blue Cross is a major type of insurance to say the very least! And if you are going to tell a patient that puts food on your table that they are unwelcome, you could at least be nice about it and not have an attitude about it. I am not the only paying patient with… legitimate insurance that this was done to, by the way. This doctor might be better off in a free clinic where the state pays. And he can bring his friendly staff with him.
