I was referred to Dr. Beanes for my Hernia situation. On my first visit, Dr. Beanes was amazing. He was very professional and he explained my situation, which turned out to be 3 Hernias. He explained the situation, the procedure to fix it and the whole process. After scheduling the surgery, Dr. Beanes was there and he performed the surgery as planned. After the surgery and during my visit, Dr. Beanes checked me out and explained in details what he discovered and how he fixed them by placing meshes. He was really happy with the outcome. All his staff gave wonderful complimements about him and it all turned to be true. After a visit to my primary doctor, a delayed ultrasound, a consultation and at the recommendation of my colonoscopy doctor my path to wellness led to Dr. Beanes. I was suffering from Chronic Cholecystitis and Cholelithiasis unbeknownst to me. I had gallbladder symptoms and with my family history it was determined I needed surgery right away. Dr. Beanes provided comfort and ease while we discussed my options. His staff listened diligently and they made accommodations for my availability. By considering my insurance coverage and avoiding an emergency situation as in ER visit. Dr. Beanes gave me exceptional care and prioritized my needs as a new patient. I will forever be grateful for his guidance, calm mannerism and delightful sense of urgency to assist me. He is a skillful surgeon with a kind and informative bedside manner. I’m currently a month into healing after outpatient surgery. My incisions are healing nicely and I’m no longer suffering the previous pain I experienced before… surgery. Thank you Dr. Beanes.

This doctor is an absolute 5 star hands down ! Doctors such as Dr. Beanes are so seldom seen these days he is “old school”. He takes the time to thoroughly explain his procedure, process goals and really shows that he cares about YOU as a patient. Comes across as extremely bright, personable, knowledgeable and complete. My double hernia surgery went very well. Due to pre-existing chronic prostatitis I had some expected residual swelling post-surgery. He is available on call and called me back in minutes giving me immediate piece of mind. His staff are great easy to work with friendly and office get in an out of.

I had my gall bladder removed by Dr. Beanes, and my particular situation was non-life-threatening, but a little non-standard. My first impression was a team that was ready for my appointments and Dr. Beanes was on time to ALL my appointments. That is a huge step for modern healthcare and made an already anxious patient more comfortable. Dr. Beanes' bedside manner before, during, and after the procedure was fantastic. He has empathy, spoke about the process in simple terms, and was very thorough in his explanations. His follow-through after the procedure and in with follow-up visits was no different: punctual, caring, thorough, and with genuine happiness that my procure was a success and I was on the mend. I have had zero issues since my surgery and to be honest, I feel like a new person. I highly recommend Dr. Beanes and his time. They are the way medicine should be!

I have been extremely pleased and grateful I found Dr. Beanes and staff. From my first phone call to ask for an initial consultation appointment, to my first and subsequent visits and to my interaction with Dr. Beanes, I have received world-class care. I had spoken with another surgeon, who had ruled out laparoscopic surgery in my case (prior abdominal surgeries) and seemed hesitant to operate on my inguinal hernia. Dr. Beanes didn't see the difficulty and successfully performed the laparoscopic a month after my initial visit. Upon waking up from surgery, I felt exceptionally good, only slight tenderness in the affected area and was up walking around most of the day visiting friends and shopping with my wife. I was amazed! I was not the least tired. I have had a very fast recovery. I HIGHLY recommend Dr. Beanes! I also appreciate the wonderful people who work at the Newport Plaza Surgical Center and the friendly and efficient staff at Dr. Beanes office. They truly care!

My GP recommended Dr. Beanes along with a couple of other Dr.'s. Once I picked Dr. Beanes, I was quickly impressed, not only with his schooling and background but with his experience. From the first day I met him, he took as much time as I needed to go over the procedure, and what to expect before and after the surgery. He made me feel important and comfortable every time we talked. A few days after the surgery, I had a questions about some minor pain etc. When I called and left a message, I was expecting to hear form a nurse on the return call, that was not the case. In fact Dr. Beanes called me himself and not only answered my question but wanted to make sure all and any other questions I had were answered. He was genuinely concerned as to my wellbeing! He impressed my from day 1. I can tell what a great job he did as I have been recovering perfectly and feel great and it has been three weeks. Excellent surgeon and very caring human being.

Dr. Beanes is by far the best surgeon... I had 6 hernia surgeries at Hoag, all by different doctors. The first five use the direct method and each repair didn't take. I dont know if it was the surgeon or bad mesh, but it didn't take. The last repair was done by Dr. Beanes thru the arthroscopic method: a couple small holes, not a 5" hole in my gut. I had very little pain, compared to my previous hernia repairs using the arthroscopic method, and recovered much faster, by a long shot. Dr. Beanes was outstanding. He fixed me!! I cant tell you how debilitating a hernia is for an active adult: job, family, sports, etc. Dr. Beanes gave me my life back. The surgery was done about 8 years ago and I have had not reoccurrences. He is amazing!! I would recommend him again and again. Thank You, Dr. Beanes.
