Dr. Sukanya Somasundar, MD

I've been going to Dr. Somasundar for several years now, and I am increasingly disappointed with the entire office. First and foremost, I've had multiple urgent health issues over the years which I do not feel were taken seriously or handled in a professional manner. These circumstances were delayed and/ or made worse due to her office telling me to wait weeks for an appointment or not answering the phone for days on end. Even when I was able to see her, I've had instances where Dr. Somasundar completely misdiagnosed the actual issue (I ended up in the hospital the next day) or I was unknowingly passed on to one of her associates. I do not want to take away from the fact that she is a great doctor during appointments, but in my experience, I have felt a great lack of concern for my well being.

Apparently, others see something in her that I didn't. Within 5 minutes, I knew it would be a one and done visit. Some doctors and patients just don't click, and I think that was the case with us.

When I may original PCP took a maternity leave Dr Somasunder stepped in to see me for an illness. After many months of symptoms Dr. Somasunder was very patient and asked insightful questions. She then directed the to a physician who recommended a course of treatment which led to a relief of all symptoms ! She kind and knowledgeable and I would recommmend her strongly.
