Dr Patel recently performed successful TURP surgery after unrelated surgery by another doctor left me with acute urinary retention. Before surgery, he ensured other treatment options were exhausted and patiently answered my many questions. Dr Patel is professional, thorough and knowledgeable. Dr Patel is reassuring and continues to go out of his way to accommodate me and go above and beyond what I consider to be the normal responsibilities of a physician.

I went to Dr. Patel at Commonweath Urology for a vasectomy. I appreciated how clear and concise they were about the process, the after-care requirements, etc. The actual procedure was quick and relatively painless. Dr. Patel has a nice bedside manner. Overall the whole thing went very well. The only reason he gets 4 not 5 stars is that the first time I had my procedure scheduled, they called 2 weeks before to tell me the doctor was taking a vacation and they had to reschedule. I found this pretty unprofessional given that I had planned this for a long time and moved my schedule around, sent the kids to their aunts, etc. But when I finally rescheduled a year later, I had no problems with the whole process.

Went in for a vasectomy. Seemed knowledgeable, articulate and professional throughout the consult. The procedure took half an hour, involved only mild discomfort, and was effective. He was clear, thorough and understanding with his instructions on aftercare and follow-up. No qualms with performing vasectomies on childless men, and can perform the procedure in-office, unlike other urologists who only perform vasectomies at external facilities, adding thousands of dollars to the bill.
