Dr. Thomas Lawman Lucas III, MD

Lacks: judgement, recall and accuracy. My PSA was very high when run by Colonial's lab. I had it rerun by Lab Corp and it was normal as were previous results. Dr Lucas refused to admit the test was an error and refused to run it again, claiming that the Colonial lab never made any mistakes. Several months ago, I requested a stool test to find the cause of my weight loss. He still believes he ordered the test because of diarrhea and is not pursuing the problem. In 1995, the year before I received my kidney transplant, I was on home hemodialysis. Without any way of knowing, he refused to believe it, saying that it had to have been peritoneal dialysis. In conclusion it is my feeling that Dr Lucas makes too many mistakes too many assumptions.Therefore he is not a good doctor and it would be best to choose one who is.

Horrible doctor, bullies patients, gives incorrect diagnosis to any all problems. Stay far away

Doesn't seem to care what his patients have to say, just rather lecture them about smoking and being over-weight, but seems to have a different attitude when the husband shows up, shouldnt be nowhere in the medical field.

Lacks compasssion and very rude.

Dr.Lucas was born to be a doctor. He genuinely cares for his patients. He doesn't rush through the office visit like other providers in this practice. He's kind, he's a good listener, he's professional, he's thorough, his diagnosis is accurate and his follow up on previously ordered test, prescriptions,and orders are spot on. His staff reflects this same personality & quality of service. He's a natural doctor. I ?? My Doctor ?????.

I will say that I have had to only had to wait 1 time for an appointment. It is mostly true when the recording says "and we will see you today". And it was my fault for waiting until the last minute to call for the appointment and the only reason I couldn't see the doctor is because he wasn't in that day. Yes doctors need a day off too. I appreciate all that Dr. Thomas Lucas and his staff have done for me. He is very thorough and some may think he goes overboard in his testing but he is determined to do his very best to get to the bottom of the problem to find a solution. I appreciate Colonial Healthcare.

When your being treated by Dr. Lucas you KNOW you'll be getting better fast! He helped me quit chewing tobbaco and cured my strep throat, my breath has never been fresher.

Dr Lucas is very friendly, thorough and really cares about my healthcare needs. Truly an outstanding doctor!

I've have several doctors as we have traveled in the military, Dr Lucas has been, by far, the best doctor I have had. I have been seeing him constantly for just over a year for my back problems & he has definitely taken every avenue to get me on the right path, been very thorough and patient! I love his nursing staff as well. These days you don't find many compassionate doctors, Colonial has at least 1 that I know of, Dr Lucas!
