Dr. Timothy Sangtae Lee, MD

I have been partially paralyzed from the waist down. I’ve had biopsies and multiple tests and differing diagnoses as to the cause. I finally was referred to a neurologist for suspected MS. Despite coming to the appointment an hour early as told, I waited an additional hour in the waiting room. Then another hour and a half in the exam room. The nurse was cold and rude and offered no explanation. Dr. Lee comes in doesn’t introduce himself, apologize for the now 3 1/2 hour wait, or ask me why I’m there to begin with. He instead begins to interrogate me about a cardiac test I had 10 years prior. It had zero to do with why I was there to begin with. Keep in mind, I’m in pain, I can’t walk, I’m in a wheelchair, I’m terrified. He did nothing to help ease my fears. He did not show compassion nor medical knowledge nor interest in figuring out how to help me. He didn’t even examine me!! After his 15 minute new patient visit, he says he will order an MRI for that Friday (this was on a Monday)… that his staff would call me no later than Wednesday to schedule the MRI and he would see me in 2 weeks. It’s been a year, still waiting for that call. I could have been persistent and called and harassed and demanded my MRI be scheduled but, quite frankly I don’t trust his decisions in the first place. I will tell you what they did do promptly. They sent me three surveys in the mail asking that I give them 5 star reviews for their “exemplary patient services”. I would suggest they actually give exemplary patient service first.

Dr. Lee is easily the most thorough, empathetic doctor I have ever been to. Listens closely, asks good questions and explains everything.

I’m currently trying to find a different neurologist. I’m baffled as to why this man has such high ratings! At my first appointment, he was horrible. Terrible bedside manner, agitated, distracted, zero follow up. I gave him another chance because I’m that desperate. I hoped all the five star reviews were correct and he was just having an off day. Sadly, that was not the case. The second appointment was worse than the first. Do yourself a favor and find any other neurologist!

I came 30 minutes early for my appointment as requested. I waited an hour in the waiting room with one other patient. Another 2 hours in the room once I was called back. The “doctor” came in didn’t apologize for the wait or introduce himself. He didn’t ask why I was there or what my symptoms were. When I would try and discuss my medical issues he would ramble on different topics that had zero to do with my medical issues. One of the most incompetent and bizarre appointments I’ve ever had! I knew I was in the wrong place when I noticed that “gauze” and “band aids” was spelled incorrectly on the drawers. You don’t even need the dictionary for that-you can ask Siri!

I was made to feel very uneasy. I was asked no questions. Didn’t receive a thorough exam. Waited two hours to be seen. Didn’t feel like I was believed. Felt like all of my concerns weren’t believed. When I relayed other diagnoses from doctors he said it was “suspicious” as if I was making it up. Im not sure why he has such high ratings.

Thank goodness I was smart enough to get a second opinion. I lived with a terrible diagnosis for several weeks. It was horrible.

Dr. Lee and his staff were very kind and attentive to my needs. Would highly recommend.

Dr. Lee was thorough in his exam and took plenty of time to evaluate my condition and answer all my questions. I will definitely recommend him to friends and family.

Dr. Timothy Lee is a very professional doctor who takes the time to talk to his patients with kindness, compassion and understanding. He reviews the test results thoroughly and makes informed decisions about the issues you are having. That is why I see him when a need arises.

Dr. Timothy Lee is my 87 year old mother's doctor. He is very kind and sincere with her. He answers all of my father and my questions concerning my mother.
