Dr. Trent Lane Tredway, MD

While I am non surgical at this time, Doctor Tredway would be my go to neurosurgeon. I was so excited to get out of his office, knowing I wasn't going to be operated on, I forgot to ask all my questions. So, I submitted a few through the patient portal. Couldn't believe I got a call back from the doctor himself. He took the time to answer questions and gave me some advice on how I can better handle my issues. I have never had a doctor call me at home. That alone tells me what kind of doctor he is. His staff was also nice, putting me at ease on arrival. Wish I would have found him years ago....

There aren't enough positive words in the English language to describe how I feel about Dr. Tredway. I had back pain for years. I saw 3 different surgeons who blew me off. Then I met Dr. Tredway. He tells you exactly how it is. What to expect before, during & after surgery. I had a L-5 / S-1 fusion. I am almost 6 weeks post op & have never felt better. Sure I still have soreness. Typical post surgical stuff. But the pain I had for years is GONE!! Physical Therapy is helping a lot. I would't hesitate for one second to recommend Dr. Tredway & his staff. The office staff & staff at the SOI Swedish are so loving & honestly care about you. At one of my post op appts I literally went into his office with a list of questions on typed up on my phone. He took time to answer each question in terms I understood. If you are on the fence about back surgery please consider seeing him for a consultation. He will change your way of life!!

I had been in back pain for over 3 1/2 years. Had one surgery with slight improvement in AZ, moved back home to Tacoma. Then I meant Dr. Treadway and his fabulous team. That was in 2015. After a couple of months he said he could really improve my life, help me walk without pain, get me off of opioids, straighten my back and at 75 yrs have a healthy happy life. He wanted to do a fusion of L4, L5 and S1. I was nervous because that is a big surgery. He told me Joan if I didn't think the risk was worth the benefit I would not do the surgery. I trusted him, he must do each surgery on the computer and in his head over and over again. Everyone of his patients are unique, special and important to him. I had surgery, week on the walker, couple of months on my husbands arm. To proud for the walker and stubborn too. Six more weeks on Opioids. Then took my self off of drugs, not easy but so worth the difficult journey. It has now been 3 years since my surgery, I am 78 yrs old, off of… drugs and pain free. I cannot thank Dr. Treadway and his fabulous team enough. I recommend my friends and relatives to him all the time. I was recommend to him by the charge nurse in the cath lab in St Joes Hospital in Tacoma, Washington. If you live out of state he is worth the trip to Seattle. Dr. Tredway and Laurie Crew are great to work with. I had a cervical fusion and have had great results. He is conservative and thoughtful and does everything he can to help you avoid surgery. His staff is very helpful and organized. I would highly recommend consulting with him if you are in need of a spine surgeon!

Dr T was the first doctor to recognize that I had a physical problem that needed to be corrected. Prior doctors did not acknowledge my pain as anything more than a patch job with pain medications. I will be ever grateful for the pain-free back I now live with because of a noninvasive surgical procedure.

There is no doubt finding a doctor with so many choices can be difficult. I researched neurosurgeons when I needed one last year and narrowed it t two. However, once we met Dr. Tredway we did not go anywhere else. His expertise, compassion and desire to get me back up and functioning were his goals and after my surgery, there were no complications such as infections. I am a diabetic with many allergies and health issues but he took them all on restoring my neck to full function. Luckily he also has an office in Poulsbo, so traveling to Seattle was only for surgery with follow up care closer to our home. I would recommend Dr. Tredway to anyone who needs surgery and needs a surgeon that both listens and cares. This year we were in an accident and it has taken me back to see him. I have no doubt he will once again fix the issues at hand. Good Luck, but know if you see Dr. Tredway and his outstanding staff, you won't need luck!

He has an awesome bedside mannor. Great sense of humor and he went over all my test results an explained them. He showed me my MRI and explained everything That was wrong. Wait time is his office is very short. His staff is very friendly and helpful. The surgery went great and exactly as he said it would. I had very little pain aside from the sore throat, I had no pain in the cervical area. All the pain was from the incision site. I only used pain medication for the first week, then it was very tolerable. I hate narcotic pain medication so I was very happy that I didn't have to take them long. I am contemplating the SI joint stabilization and fusion surgery and I want him to do the surgery for sure.

Finally a doctor took me seriously and found the problem in 1 visit. I was seen at the VA healthcare 21 years and they didn't even bother to do the testing.

I thank God that Dr Tredway is no longer at Neospine! He is rude,arrogant & down right mean. Very unprofessional! Good ridance.
