Dr. Vivian Maria Soriano Hobayan, MD

Doctor Hobayan is a wonderful doctor. She takes her time and she really listens. She is a top notch physician and I'm blessed she's my doctor.

Dr. Hobayan really cares about her patients! She is very thorough in obtaining her patent’s health history and in diagnosing and treating diseases in her field of rheumatology. She is dedicated to giving them the best care.

I am not a patient of her but my husband is and seems like she is trying to help him but so far nothing is working, if anything he is getting worse. I have went with him to every appt. She has been putting him on different meds and and drops meds and it just seemed confusing so I thought I record what she was saying so we could keep it straight. Didn’t think it would do any harm well was I wrong. I told her what I did!! She really give me the 3 rd degree over it. Said she was always wrote her instruction down for her patients to understand .. never for my husband had she done this ... Well she was rude about it and made me feel like a school kid getting yelled at by a teacher.. Told my husband I’d go with him but I’d wait in the waiting area and did not want to see her again. Wish there was mor RA dr that we could chose from closer to us. I just feel there was no sense in how she reacted over it. By the way there was nothing anywhere posted in her office about NOT recorded the… visits... I just wanted to make sure we was understanding all the changes she was making. Oh and at the end husband had to ask for them to write it down for him, but she said earlier that she always was very informative in giving instructions to her patients... ummm... I was livid over it!!!

ABsolutely ridiculous to wait 2 1/2-3 1/2 hours just to get prescriptions! Always different staff because they are overworked with 4-6 patients booked for the same appointment times. She Wears the same rubber gloves all day, with every patient, touching door handles and computer mouse until they are gray from dirt! The gloves are not to protect the patients from transferring germs, the gloves are to protect her! Too bad she’s so selfish about her business because she’s probably a decent doctor. Too bad she’s the only doctor in the Lima area dealing with rheumatology.

I have been going to her for over 5 year. My shortest wait time is an hour. I have been waiting for over 3 hours on several occasions. When you say something they tell you all about how they see over 200 people a day bla bla. My last appointment with her was for 7:30 AM and left the building at 1 PM. I am looking for a new doctor that is not an hour away but it is hard in rural Ohio. I really only have one RA doctor to compare her to and she is much better than he was as far as care. However you could be out of his office five minutes before your appointment was scheduled to start.

She is very qualified doctor, takes her time and is careful with diagnosis.

I also have been seeing the Dr. for going on five years. In this time she has helped me in lowering the amount of steroids I was on by working other meds around. The rheumatoid continues to worsen even after 4 major/expensive drugs. Her idea is to try yet another drug! I tell her things just continue to get worse and she smiles and shakes her head and says "Boy , I just can't figure this out".

I have been going to the Dr. for 4 years and in the beginning she did listen to my concerns, but always seems to push the drugs on me. Now she is not even in the room with me for 2 min. or less and when I waited for up to 2 hours. I also have to talk to her back in the hallway to get answers. She told me I had lupus and I do not have it, just the the lupus marker. I do not recommend this dr.

I never get in on scheduled appointments. the office is always behind. The Dr. doesn't explain the diagnosis or treatment well.

Diagnosis and treatment of rheumatoid arthritis is time consumming and difficult. Dr. Hobayan did an excellent job in this area and has been treating me almost a year; each time increasing the level of medication or trying newer ones. Not enough doctors in this field makes her very, very popular.
