Dr. William Barry Humeniuk, MD

This was my 8th foot surgery to remove a plate. Yes, this surgery was not as invasive as the 3 fusions I have had but I am very aware of the concept “stay on top of your meds”. How was I supposed to do that when my surgeon NEVER called anything in prior to surgery. I even called his office on THURSDAY, the day before my surgery, to follow up on scripts and was told he will do that right after your surgery. He waited until 7 pm to call in a muscle relaxer. A muscle relaxer??????

Dr. Humeniuk was extremely thorough in assessing what's going on with me. I have extremely complicated issues with a lot of co-morbities. He gave me clear direction with thoughtful questions for me he posed to help us dig a little deeper in exploring a prognosis/treatment plan for me. I was thoroughly impressed!

Was not a pleasant visit

It wasn't exactly an ideal situation to be in (to be taking my 7 year old to get his broken arm assessed and set) but we were pleasantly welcomed into a warm office environment with very cool themed rooms (; our was a superhero). Dr. Humeniuk was quite personable, efficient, knowledgeable, and he even offered us some additional information about the specific type of fracture as well as an easy to understand prognosis. He made doctors a little less scary to my little one and I am grateful for that.

This doctor is outstanding! Very seldom do you find good doctors that listen and care. After seeing several doctors he finally figured out what was wrong with my daughter . I highly recommend

Excellent doctor! Excellent staff!!! He spends time with each patient. His staff remembers you and make you feel very welcomed and that your problem is theirs. Love this office

I don't like doctors for a good reason. However, if you want one of finest trauma orthopedists in the state of Texas, this is the doctor for you. I had a freak accident while visiting family in the area. I chose Dr. H. based on the ratings online and he did note disappoint. His staff is awesome also. Superb "bed side manner," knowledgeable, communicative, respectful of patient's knowledge and perspectives, answers all of the questions with a smile on his face. Everyone gets the time they need, so you may have to wait a bit past your appointment, but you'll be glad you did. He works WITH you.

I liked Dr. Humeniuk overall and my interaction with him was positive. I felt like he had good ideas on how to test/assess what was causing me problems. Though he serves adults I think he's definitely more geared to pediatric patients. I followed his intructions, called the office back as he said to do and told them the results via a message because the phone wasn't answered. It was a week before someone called me back to let me know the next steps. They told me he was out of the office but would be back the following week with specific instructions on what labs I would need to get. Nobody ever called me back even though I called again and left a message. Overall it was disappointing and I decided to see someone else. His office just didn't seem to have it together so I was concerned in general about the quality of care in the long run.

Dr. Humeniuk has been taking care of my daughter for 3 years after a motor vehicle accident. Throughout this time his priority has been her wellbeing.He takes his time to answer all questions we may have, as well as explains everything in great detail. I like the fact that he is willing to take an extra step and sometimes thinks outside of the box. His brilliance is insurmountable. Very rarely will you find a doctor who cares like he does. Not only is Dr. Humeniuk one of a kind but his staff is just as personable and helpful. Without him I am unsure of where my daughter would be today.

He operated on my daughter's badly broken leg after a terrible accident; and my family could not have asked for a better surgeon or more wonderful doctor. After a number of Orthopedic surgeons, it was wonderful to find a good one. It's nice to go to a place where you actually see the doctor, and the same doctor sees you every time. He makes you feel llike youre the only patient and really listens. If he runs a few minutes late; It's really worth it. His staff, Tracy, Chantell and Angie are so caring that it is a joy to come into the office.
