Dr. Wonil Lee, MD

I have been in medicine for 40 years. 5 years ago had painful swollen feet seen several Podiatrists and Orthopedist and misdiagnosed as gout. Went to Dr Lee 2 years ago first visit Correctly diagnosed me as Psoriatic Arthritis. My Fred Flintstone swollen feet are gone. Dr Lee is always polite and thorough. His office staff is always helpful. He is a terrific Rheumatologist!

I am quite satisfied with Dr. Lee. He knows his stuff and takes the time to explain it.

Dr. Lee is an absolute jerk and a horrible doctor. Read reviews before making an appointment with this guy. He hates his work and his patients. He is rude and greedy. NEVER has the right diagnosis. Where did this guy go to school????? Beware of getting referred to his partner Dr. Peng. You will never get to see Dr. Peng. He is too busy and gives his patients to Dr. Lee. I WOULD RATHER SELF TREAT THAN GO BACK TO THIS MONSTER. ALSO HE NEVER LOOKS AT THE CHART BEFORE COMING INTO THE ROOM.

There are truly no words to describe how unprofessional Dr. Lee is. I have been suffering from RA for seven years and have CLEAR visible signs of inflammation in my hands and knees. I have been on biological meds for the past year. I was referred to Dr. Pham/Fan, instead I got Lee. I should have ran away the first time I meet him. During my last visit, he crossed his arms and spoke with me like I was a 12 year old child. As I asked him questions, he said that would take too long to explain and please get to the point.... I have other patients to see. I left in tears. His ego is his dimmise. In a million years, I would never return to his office. After a four day flare up that landed me in my bed, the last thing I anticipated was to be yelled out by my doctor. We look to our doctors for support and aid. As a mother of two children and even at my worst point in pain, I do not speak to my children in that manner. I could go on, but I rather now try and forget the additional pain he caused… to my mental health. He is a total zero!!!!!!!

This Dr. use to be a very good and trusting doctor whom I was with for 10+ years.. somewhere down the road he changed and I wouldnt trust him with an animal, let alone a human being. He does not seem to believe patients that have side effects from medications that he prescribes, he does not read his charts while he is seeing a patient because he denies prescribing medications that hes prescribed to his patient for years (making them take out their medication bottles or show pharmacy info that he has in fact been prescribing the medications which is absurd! ) He does not read medical reports from other doctors that give a different diagnosis then his, and the scariest problem is that he does not seem to be aware that some drugs that he prescribes cannot just be stopped all at once or they can cause significant HARM or possibly death to his patient. Even after being told by a patient that it can be dangerous and is not medically recommended by ANYONE in the medical field (including… pharmacists) he will just STOP prescribing the drugs and not care that he can be endangering someones health that ALREADY HAS problems with their health. One of the most horrific thing I have ever experienced with a dr. and I hope no one else has to experience something as horrible as I did.

This dr. has lost his mind and his ability to be a good , trusting dr any longer. I was his patient for many years and was consistently treated by him. I was a good patient and always did what he told me to do which included taking all the medications he prescribed to me for many years when I was sick. One medication he put me on was steroids. because I wasn't getting off of them quickly enough after being on them for nearly 3 years , his attitude towards me completely changed. He refused to listen or believe me when I told him how sick I would get while tapering. He denied that one symptom I was having was not from tapering of this drug when I know for a fact that it is. Then after not seeing him for several months due to a neck and spine injury I have (which he claimed was actually fibromyalgia) he spoke with another patient about me (who is also his patient) and gave her FALSE INFORMATION about me. The kicker is this....he denied prescribing me this drug even tho every bottle I… have has his name on it! I had to show him my bottle and remind him that when I had seen him several months back he was told how much I was taking . ..i felt like I was in a hidden camera /PUNKED episode..and then he did the most horrific unimaginable thing a dr could do. After being told how difficult the taper was for me and how sick I get, he denied my refills of a drug that CANNOT JUST BE STOPPED (and can actually cause death if done too quickly) and told the pharmacist I should see my GP . To say I am shocked and disgusted that he would do this to me is an understatement . He should not be a dr any longer when he actually puts his patients at risk and no longer helps them but tries to harm them.

Dr. Lee diagnosed me when I was very very sick and gave me medications that made me better for 13 years. I thought he was my savior and that I could trust him with my life....until recently...I got very sick again about 3 years ago and he put me on steroids, a chemo drug along with my usual malaria drug he had prescribed me. After 2 years he started trying to taper me down on the steroids. I let him know I was getting very sick from the lower doses to which he didnt care. He told me the withdrawl symptoms I was having were NOT from the lower dose of steroids even tho i knew from other drs I had seen that they WERE from the lower dose of steroids. I wasnt off the prednisone or tapering quickly enuf for him so when my pharmacy called the office to request my refill of the steroids HE put me on to begin with, HE DENIED ANY MORE REFILS of it stating I should go see my GP , knowing that stopping cold turkey not only makes you very sick, it can cause death. I have no idea why he would do… such a terrible thing to me when I have never done anything but listen to him and tell him what was going on with me. To know that after 13 yrs he would do this to me is TERRIBLE especially knowing how sick I get lowering it just 1mg. I cant believe a dr would do this to someone hes suppose to help. The stress he has caused me is unimaginable & now I have to find a new dr.

I was blessed to find Dr Lee. He treats the whole person, listens to what you have to say, explains his treatment plans, & has impeccable bedside manner. He understands & explains fibromyalgia & knows how to treat it. I just can't say enough about him. His staff - he trains them well and that is why his office runs like clockwork. Koodos Dr. Lee!

Suffers from a sever god complex

Dr. Lee has been my rheumatologist for many years now and I have nothing but praise for his ability and his bedside manner. Although by title he is my rheumatologist, I have gone to see him with many other medical complaints over the years and he has always helped me, no matter what my problem was. I wish all doctors were like Dr. Lee.
