Dr. Wyche Taylor Coleman III, MD

I was referred by my doctor to go see an ophthalmologist for eye issues I started experiencing after first going to an optometrist and them not discovering a cause. I sought out Dr. Coleman, due to his good ratings and what appeared to be expert knowledge. The nurse I saw prior to seeing Dr. Coleman was fantastic. She was empathetic and listened to all my concerns and took detailed notes along with the questions she asked. After she talked to me for 30 to 45 minutes, she instilled eye drops to dilate my eyes. Dr. Coleman entered the room after 20 minutes or so and altogether saw me for less than 5 minutes. I have never had a medical professional act in the manner Dr. Coleman did. He glanced at the notes, looked at the pictures they took of my eye, and told me there was nothing wrong. I brought up to him that my eyes never dilated, and he said it didn't matter. He then went on to tell me that if I was unhappy with his determination that I could "find a doctor who is smarter or more… knowledgeable." He then told me that if I "go to enough doctors, someone will make up a diagnosis to help me feel better." He did not listen to me or my concerns at all. He just heard that I saw my primary about it and an optometrist and completely dismissed me. He told me all I could do was to "learn to live with it." In response to the issues I was/am having. I drove almost 2 hours from where I live to see him. I would never recommend going to Dr. Coleman based on my experience. I see all these 5 star reviews for him and I don't know how. I don't know why he treated me the way he did.

Dr Coleman made the very uncomfortable experience of having cataract surgery easy with excellent results. I highly recommend this young man to anyone needing eye care. Extremely professional and a pleasure to do business with.

I was almost blind and failing miserably and only saw in black, gray and white before having this excellent Dr. do surgery on both eyes a couple of weeks apart. I now see 20/20 or better and colors are vivid and exciting. He answered all my questions--and i ask many--did fabulous surgery and have the utmost respect for him as a person as well as an eye surgeon. It's been 3 years since he restored my sight and i can't say enough great things about my care. His staff and hospital staff have all treated me quite well and my results are spectacular! I've spoken with others who went elsewhere and it reinforces the decision that I made to trust my eyes to The Magician! If you want a top specialist for your only eyes, this is your guy.

I had cataract removal and lens replacement surgery on both eyes, one week apart. The entire experience went smoothly and everyone I encountered, both office staff and surgical staff, was friendly and helpful. Dr. Coleman was both friendly and courteous and very explanatory about the procedure. I would highly recommend him to anyone who is considering this or any eye related procedure.

I found Dr. Coleman and his staff to be very nice and answered all the questions I asked to my satisfaction! Would definitely recommend his services.
