Dr. Drew Aric Dylewski, MD

The following is my opinion: ARROGANT – I needed surgery/procedure to relieve symptoms of BPH. He got very defensive when asking him about his surgical history – i.e. # of procedures done, his complication / success rates, etc. Says he doesn’t keep track of those things since he’s not an academic center and where would he get that information. I responded that he would get that from his own patients. What doctor doesn’t know his own patients’ outcomes. Steer clear!

Dr. Dylewski is always kind, informative and extremely helpful in explaining the changes of my condition and the procedures we are going to take...and...forgot to mention...very funny.

Have been using dr Dylewski for over 10 years . He is an outstanding doctor.

This guy was arrogant and he flat out told me that he did not want to deal with my situation until after I’v seen a Sleep Doctor because he had seen too many cases where patients who complained of frequent urination had Sleep Apnea.

Dr Dylewski put my dad's life in danger. My dad was sent from PACU to IMU after surgery because his breathing was labored and fast, but he didn't even do a chest x-ray for 2 days even though we kept asking him to. Even the nurse told me that she had asked repeatedly for a chest x-ray, but he cursed at her when she asked for one! Holy cow! I will NEVER go back to him or recommend anyone to him EVER! I gave him one star because it wouldn't allow me to leave it blank.

Has taken very good care of me in my need of medical help concerning cancer. Great guy with a good sense of humor.

I was in the hospital a month after having kidney stones. I was in extreme pain and could not urinate. He came to see me because I asked for a second opinion when his partner wanted to dismiss me from the hospital because all I was showing was a UTI, ignoring the fact that I was in extreme pain and couldn't urinate. The pain was constant and found out later from a different doctor was not related to the UTI. He came into my room and said "You are entitled to a second opinion, so I will make this quick. This is a UTI, an out patient issue and you can go home. You are going to have pain." He never examined me nor listened to my explanation of my symptoms. He was very rude, condescending, arrogant, and appeared angry. The next day, I saw an urologist not in his group, who listened, examined me, and diagnosed me with a severe UTI and a condition unrelated to the UTI that was causing the extreme pain. I would never go to the physician again nor recommend him to anyone else. I… only gave him one star because I couldn't give less than that!

I was recently found myself facing prostate cancer at a relatively young age. Dr. Dylewski was very straight-forward, answered all my questions, and made me feel at ease with his intelligence without cockiness. I have had several surgeries in the past. I went home within 24 hours of a radical prostatectomy. That is phenomenal. I had been to my regular urologist, had a second opinion at MD Anderson and chose Dr. Dylewski because of the number of cases he has done. I am SO glad I did. I was just a number at MD Anderson my case "fell through the cracks" there. I cannot praise Dr. Dylewski's skills enough. Two of his colleagues rounded on me and I was very pleased with them as well. His office staff is great also!!!! Great with insurance, billing, handling issues, appointments, etc.

Do not know about the doctor yet, but your staff is horrible, took 20 minutes to schedule my next appointment. The doc ordered CT scan, I left with my order and went directly to the imaging center. After I finished there, a member of your staff called and wanted to know where to send the order for my scan??? I told her I had just completed the scan. Do you people know what you are doing????

Horrible bedside manner! Office staff rude at Tomball office. Dr S was the best there, I only see Dr S now.
