Dr. Drostan Gregg Baker, MD

Very professional. My husband and I feel very fortunate to be part of his practice.

Dr. Baker did a great job when I visited in addressing all my concerns and being sensitive and considerate of my situation. I appreciated that he seemed to be trying so hard to make sure he gave me the best possible recommendations and care by trying to thoroughly understand my case.

The only words I can think of when it comes to this physician is coercive, condescending, and arrogant. He's unwilling to address more than one problem each visit, you must make another appointment in order to address a different medical concern. If you disagree with something Drostan says, be prepared for a condescending lecture and misinformation. I was very disappointed and offended by his arrogance.

Dr. Baker is very thorough, asks the right questions, provides information, helped me with a simple fix for sciatic pain, we fortunate to have him!

Makes snap judgments and they are wrong. Had me put ice on a blood clot from a miss diagnosis which is the worse thing you can do. Told me I would die in 5 years without a liver transplant when i had zero wrong with my liver. They when I chose a specialty dr out side of Mayo Clinic he got angry to help me with the follow up because he makes no money off it. I changed dr right away and I got correct diagnosis off the bat. He has shown inexperience and money hungry not a doctor to help you!

I will be 69 next month and have seen many doctors over the years. Dr. Baker is probably the best that I have seen. I was saddened to see him move to Idaho. I would recommend him to everyone.

Makes eye contact, answers your questions, polite, doesn't order unnecessary tests, communicates well. Nurse and scribe are very nice

Was not impressed with his ability to take on any clinical challenge other than basic medication refills.. Even then he managed to make mistakes. Would not even acknowledge my many of my concerns I brought to him. He seemed very uncomfortable treating routine primary care issues. Perhaps he is a product of another subpar Caribbean medical school.

For basic/standard care and knowledge Dr Baker is probably sufficient. However, if your medical need is outside the 'norm' or his common knowledge/ standard care or able to be figured out in the short appointment time, he shows no interest or compassion and can not be bothered. I would not recommend him to a friend. It is sad because he replaced a physician who is a truly caring healer.
