Dr. Dulce Cecilia Cabrera, MD

Dr. Dulce and her staff are extremely rude. How is she even a certified dermatologist? She has no idea what she is doing, her lack of professionalism is shocking. The treatment she performed on me left me with a keloid when she guaranteed it would not leave a scar! About three days after my procedure, I was in the ER due to an infection, lack of clean tools used. The office is filthy and is inconsistent. Her license should be revoked. Stay away. Beware.

This is the first time I post a review on a physician but i felt the need to was very important. I last saw Dr. Cabrera 14 years ago for acne treatment. She put me on what I now have learned was an extremely high dose of accutane for my weight. I had gone to several dermatologists afterwards and they all told me the doses were not what I should have been taking. I had horrible side effects from this medicine and I would try telling her and she would disregard my concerns. I’m here to say please do yourself a huge favor to your own health and stay clear. My acne cleared up with a physician assistant new grad I started to see with facials and peels in a short amount of time versus the torture I was put through With that drug and all the visits and financial aspect. I feel that office is about money and not your health I’m sorry but this was not okay in every level.

"Dr." Cabrera has the worst attitude of any doctor I've ever been too. She is arrogant, impatient and condescending. She started to check what I had come in for and she made me so uncomfortable and irritated that I had to walk out before she had the chance to finish the job. I would highly recommend you look for a different dermatologist.

I went to this doctor at the recommendation of a friend. Dr. Cabrera has a pleasant bedside manner IF you're interested in cosmetic enhancements. I saw her for an annual checkup and I expected her to be thorough in checking all areas of my body. There was only one area that concerned her and it was a small spot that appeared at the bridge of my nose. She took care of that area but the rest of my concerns went unnoticed and not addressed. She has many patients who have cosmetic procedures done and she devotes more time to them - since that is her field of expertise. If you are more concerned about actually taking care of your skin and you are looking for a dermatologist who will be thorough and examine all areas of concern, then Dr. Cabrera IS NOT the doctor you should see. Find a doctor who will take time to listen to your concerns, examine you thoroughly and then take the time to help you seek those medicines and/or lifestyle changes that will benefit you. I will find… another doctor who truly cares about their patients.

Overall my experience was less than satisfactory. I am a self pay patient and came in specifically for a drainage and anti inflammatory injection for a severe cystic acne flare up. Paid $150 for the visit- $75 for the syringe and $20 for a wash they recommended. The doctor lectured me about mis or under treating my acne issues without knowing my history or battle with this frustrating condition. I am sure they are tired of seeing these blemishes and we all know there’s no magic cure for this - just management through lifestyle changes. I’ve tried several expensive medications without being too impressed with the improvement. But let’s focus on the visit. Bedside manner was poor. For some it might be rude - ok for most- but culturally I understand she’s not trying to be so. Injected me without draining the infected pore first so although I’ve seen no worsening of the inflammation I can see all the infection fluids on my blemish and I’m less than pleased. It’s also quite painful.… I’ve always gotten these treatments when a breakout is severe and drainage is always the first step. She might be the expert- but I know what works for me and what I asked for on my visit- which is not what I received. She was dismissive and pessimistic. Making no promises this blemish would improve. I understand at 40 she may feel accutane is the only solution but as a patient I have the right to try what I feel comfortable with. Lastly her receptionist was pleasant and so was the medical assistant who received me- but her nurse assistant was rude and very unprofessional. No manners, cold and in a hurry. Peeked in to blurt out the cost of the syringe since the doctor couldn’t tell me herself and walked out for a minute so she could discuss the cost. First time I go to a doctor’s office and they scribble directions out of step on a paper for you to follow their treatment. She was annoyed I didn’t understand them right away. I was very confused. I don’t know. Maybe I had high expectations. Coral Gables is a reputable area and I’ve lived in south beach for 10 years before moving south a few months ago so I thought the quality of care should not differ. Should have read the reviews before I desperately threw away my money without any of the relief I’ve always found after treating this issue for years. The only thing that was positive was that I was able to get a same day appointment. The doctor also gave me some samples which I appreciate but I guess she assumed what my budget was for these expenses. Lesson learned for the future to proceed with caution when this happens. Ultimately my acne it’s triggered by stress and my father just passed away last week. So in the future before you think you can know what’s causing a condition just based on your expertise please take the time to meet and listen to your patient.

She has a HORRIBLE bedside manner . She was extremely rude and pompous . I suggest not seeing this doctor to anyone! Trust me! See anyone else but her!!!!!!

Conozco a la Dra. Dulce Cabrera hace muchisimos anos diria que como 20, mi plan medico me la quito del Seguro por un Tiempo y nunca he extranado el profesionalismo de una dra como el de ella finalemente volvio a mi seguro y aqui me tiene otra vez, ella es muy professional sabe su profesion tiene experiencia. La recomiendo 100% Ileana Dominguez, Coral Gables, Florida.

Por customer services. I called to the office because I have a severe intoxication by a medication indicated by the doctor. The receptionist said me that I don't could go to the office for review. After a time a physician assistant called and I explain my situation, and she said me that it's normal as towards very little time of the surgery. Little lacking to lose my arm. I had a complication by rejection to the medication. Never they called me to know what happened with me. Very disappointed!!!

Excellent Doctor! Very knowledgeable and intellegent. Accurate disgnosis everytime. Makes me feel comfortable at every visit. Pro active approach to medicine.
