Dr. Duyen Hiep Truong Faria, DO

Dr. Faria is a fine clinician and a rare physician. She comprehensively examines and treats a patient’s health. For me, her diagnostic skills resulted in a diagnosis that allowed for effective treatment. The treatment plan she put me on has provided relief and moved me from a daily struggle to being able to manage and be proactive in preventing debilitating symptoms. I first met Dr. Faria after a hospitalization for viral meningitis. While in the hospital I had a rash that the doctors could not explain. The discharging physician recommended I see a dermatologist. I made an appointment with Dr. Faria. During her evaluation she assessed my overall health as she sought to find the cause of my skin irritations. I shared all the different symptoms I was experiencing which I associated with the viral meningitis. She suggested a few supplements to address what my body was going through. I started to improve but was still not feeling fully well due to a sporadic return of symptoms. I… made a follow-up appointment with Dr. Faria during which she actively listened and was committed to discovering the cause of symptoms, most prominently the skin issues and fatigue. She tested for food allergy and ordered a full panel of lab work. The former results showed an allergy to eggs and dairy. The latter blood revealed severely low adrenal function along with the discovery that I had Lyme disease. With the help of both prescriptive drugs and supplements I am managing symptoms that have no definitive cure. Over the years, I have suffered with these symptoms and been seen by multiple specialists. None took the time to thoroughly explore the underlying causes. This thoroughness, along with her depth of understanding of the whole body, unwavering commitment to health and wellbeing I’m able to live a normal life. I so appreciate her passion for her patients’ health and wellbeing. Her wealth of experience and knowledge of medicines and passion for wellness aided me through a difficult time and continues to be my doctor today.

After reviewing my blood work, Dr. Faria provided multiple recommendations to lower my blood sugar, reduce inflammation and lose weight. Following her advice, I lost 30 pounds. For me, that translates to dropping from a size 10 to a size 4 in about eight months. This doctor treats the whole person. She is caring and genuine. I recommend her unreservedly.

I only saw Dr. Faria for my child's follow up because Dr. Squarez doesn't do 7:30am appts. Dr. Faria is clearly knowledgeable and very passionate about her work. It's just sad that she seems overly anxious. It makes her seem nutty. If she thinks she has your attention, then she's like a heat seeking missile, but if she you say anything contradictory to what she's saying, she checks out mentally and you can see she's losing interest in talking to you. That's kind of scary. I think if you can tolerate working with a personality like that and your condition is serious, then by all means, see her, but if someone with that kind of personality would get on your nerves, stay away.

liked doctor and found diagnosis very helpful, however, won't go back for the following reasons: (1) wait time too long -- 30 minutes to 1 hour; (2) staff in charge of providing after-visit instructions clearly does not care and even when repeatedly asked for assistance, was more concerned in getting the co-insurance payment. found it odd that co-insurance is asked for up front and not billed to insurance after - both times the amount dr asked for was less than what was negotiated with the insurance. because of staff rudeness, won't go back again.

Quite un-professional office staff. Not at all courteous. Had to wait more than 40 minutes. Dr. Faria does not have good communications skills. Told me to research online when I asked some questions about my skin condition. She multi-tasks seeing 3 or more patients simultaneously. Will not go back again.

I can not say enough good about Dr. Faria. She is extremely knowledgeable, through and caring. I have recommended her to my family and they are now her patients and like her as much as I do.

I was contemplating Accutane when I found Dr. Faria, and she, to be frank, was extremely rude and curt, barely giving me the time of day.I realized later that it's because she doesn't like Accutane. Of course, that doesn't excuse the way she treated a patient who was honestly not sure what to do with her acne.But the second time I went in, I expressed doubts and she prescribed me something else (saying if this didn't work, THEN we'd look at Accutane--which is all I wanted. It's not like I WANTED to use Accutane.) Anyway, within 6 months, my skin was clear. I'd used so many things in the past, even seen another dermatologist, so I owe her very much for the way my skin is now.If she seems to brush off concerns, or closes off, I assume it's because she doesn't approve of whatever might help you, but she DOES know her stuff.

She is not good in communication

I couldn't believe how terrible this Dr is! Please, save your money don't go there! She was taking care of 3 patients in the same time, how can she give attention to all?For basic skin questions she said this is your gene you can't change and there are some medicines but VERY expensive you can't afford How does she know that I can't pay????I read another review saying same thing, she doesn't know if I have money or not! So how can she say that I can't afford?Worst ever!!She did a terrible job!
