Dr. E Cindy Lendor, MD

When I was 18 years old I went to Dr. Lendor for my first gyno visit. I didn’t have a car at the time, so my mother drove me to the office. Upon entering the office, the staff was very pleasant and helpful. One of the staff handed me the medical form to fill out along with my medical insurance information. Upon completing the application, my mother was literally over my shoulder watching everything I was writing on my medical forms. As a result, I didn’t disclose on the application any questions I wanted to ask during my visit. My thought process was that although I didn’t have the opportunity to write my questions on the application, I would have the opportunity once I’m alone with Dr. Lendor during my exam. Once I completed my application, I walked over to the window and I wrote a note to the staff to not allow my mother to be in the examination room while I was having my examination and they agreed. I was called back to the exam area when my mother proceeded to follow me only to be… told by staff that she needed to have a seat in the waiting area because I was 18 years old and I didn’t need parental supervision. I was so happy. I felt validated as a young woman entering into my womanhood. One staff guided my mother back to the waiting room and the other guided me to the examination room where she handed me a gown to wear and gave me a brief rundown of what to expect from my first visit. Shortly after, Dr. Lendor came into the examination room and introduced herself. My initial impression of her was that she was pleasant but in a hurry to get the examination over with. Upon my exam, I could hear my mother arguing with the staff with regards to not being allowed into my examination room. Less than a minute later, my mother was knocking on my exam room door. Dr. Lendor opened the door, and immediately my mother voices how upset she is that she isn’t allowed to be with me during my exam. Dr. Lendor turns around and asks me if it was ok for my mother to be in the room with me while I was having my exam and I told her “no”! So, at this point I’m arguing with my mother. Instead of insisting that my mother return back to the waiting area, and against my wishes, Dr. Cindy Lendor allowed my mother to enter the examination room, assuring me that it was ok because she was my mother and that the exam was only going to take a minute! I was speechless and numb! I felt less than human! Dr. Lendor preformed the exam with my mother in the examination room and I was never the same. I’ve never felt so violated in my life! Needless to say, that was my last visit at Dr. Lendor’s office. The experience left me so traumatized that I didn’t see a gynecologist for almost 7 years until my husband and I were expecting our first baby.

She was always so patient and kind. Love her!

Dr Lendor is an amazing clinician. She spends time with me, explains things thoroughly and puts me at ease. She is a wonderful doctor. In 10 years I have never had a bad experience with her.

I had an exceptional experience at Dr. Lendor's office. She made me feel at ease immediately and spent as much time as I needed. I would not hesitate to recommend Dr. Lendor to anyone I know. I walked in stressed out and she lifted mountains off my shoulders, just by being kind. Thank you Dr. Lendor.
