Horrible bedside manner’s and was quick to imply I was lying about my condition.

Horrible disposition. I went to consult him about my carpel tunnel which required surgery. He would not listen to me, cut me off mid sentence and told me he could do the surgery on a Tuesday and I could go back to work the following Friday (72 hours of recovery time?). At the time I was working at Richland 3rd shift weekends as a CT tech. For those of you unaware, that is a level one trauma center so you can imagine what goes through the dept. I was not looking for him to get me out of work, I was scheduling my own earned vacation time. He gives a strong impression he thinks you are there just to get out of going to work. Needless to say, I saw another in the same practice. This Dr said no, do not lift anything bigger than a coffee mug for 2 weeks following surgery. If I tried to go back to work I would rip the stitches out. So since then (and yes the other Dr did my surgery) I have moved and been treated for another hand ailment by another Dr in another state ( I still work as a… CT tech). She also agreed with carpel tunnel surgery to take 2 weeks for recovery given my job. I’m sure someone who does not pull patients or maybe have to perform CPR in their line of work may not need 2 weeks off. Since she has done 2 hand transplants I would think she knows what she talking about (Dr Linda Cendales, google her). McFadden did not do my surgery so I cannot testify first hand his abilities, but given 2 other credible Dr’s disagree with the aftercare I would seriously question them. This is the same review I posted on google.

He is very unprofessional. Inferiority complex. He does not take the time to consult with the patient and automatically assumes the diagnosis. Dr. McFadden needs to receive training on how to communicate with others!

Not only a fantastic , but a funny and compassionate person

He was rude and careless. He rushed and did not care for my questions or concerns. Never had a doctor so careless before.

I had a shoulder arthroscopy. Dr. was very rude when he came in. I did nit take the time to explain what he was going to be doing. After the surgery the Dr. dose not take time to see how your doing and if you having any pain or trouble with anything . just tell that you should be doing better by now. Shoulder has not improve after everything and he said that's it because I'm not try to do anything. His bed side manners are very poor and just because you said that someone should be better dose not mean that they are. I was told he fix something then to find out later that he did not do what he said he did.

Dr. Mcfadden gave a quick curt diagnosis and directions for an mri and Prednisone with no explanation of the condition. He was in and out in a minute, very cold, and uninformative even though I will probably need surgery. Very disappointed as he was recommended to me by health field people.

2014 - I broke my shoulder in 4 places and after the ER visit I saw Dr. McFadden. He was careful with my arm/shoulder, very detailed in explaining my breaks to my husband and I, and answered all of our questions. I can't imagine anyone not liking Dr. McFadden, every time we went for my appts. he was always.. friendly and caring. I wish all doctors were like him.

I had surgery for Dupuytren's contracture on my little finger a year ago. The reason I chose this doctor was because he told me that my finger would never go back into the contracture with HIS surgery. He also told me that the recovery time would be 4-6 weeks. I quit going to him after 31/2 months when it began to get worse and he wanted to charge me for more follow-ups. When I questioned him about why it was not healing properly he told me it was in my mind. I found out 1 week after my surgery that there is an injection to straighten these contractures with about a 2 week recovery time. I asked him why he didn't tell me about the injections and he said he didn't do them because they don't work and because insurance don't pay for it. I found out the reason he didn't do them was for the money and my insurance would have paid for it. Had I known then what I know now, I would have never gone to him. I've seen several people that have had this same surgery by different doctors and their… hands have completely healed. My finger is more contracted now, I cannot make a fist and it is still very sensitive to touch after a years time. I have been to 2 different hand specialist since then and both of them said they would have done the injections. I will have to have my damaged hand repaired in the future but I will certainly do my research and find a reputable real hand surgeon. I contacted the practice 9 months ago by a personal letter and the only thing I've ever heard from them was that they received it.

Buyer beware....don't even bother with this one. It was almost impossible to get an appointment...almost like you had to be proved worthy to be seen...although the staff assured me that he ends up seeing 95% of possible patients. Was quoted a price over the phone for initial visit and NEVER told they don't take checks. $60.00 added to price upon arrival...no discounts for self pay or prompt pay, as previously stated. So if you don't have insurance, you are a piece of dirt...be ready to show up with 300.00 cash in hand or you won't be seen. It was a complete waste of my time...left without seeing the doc. Leaves a taste in my mouth like it's all about the $$$ and that's it. Would have paid the 300.00 had I not been treated so rudely in front of a waiting room full of patients. While holding, you hear messages about how your care is the #1 priority...really?? Don't know how the doc is...never did see him. I feel like I may have been spared a fiasco if he practices like his… staff runs the office. Funny thing is, I always pay what I owe so in the end, it was his loss. Wonder what he'll do when obamacare hits the fan...
