Dr Varghese explain the whole process of what he was going to do..when doing procedure made sure I was numb told me everything that he was doing if I felt pain to let him know..I didnt feel a thing..The nurse's that work with are exceptional also they told me everything they would be doing to get me ready for the procedure.I would truly recommend.

As an Ex professional athlete I’ve endured many surgeries. I was treated like criminal and spoken to like I was child despite having graduated from Princeton University. I asked a simple question about his diagnosis and I was immediately discharged as a patient. I’m currently exploring legal options.

He doesn't connect well with his patients at all I have seen him since 2013 till recently and was rudely dismissed from his care all because I made the mistake of not communicating.

He has treated me like an addict every time I have seen him. It's very humiliating to be talked down to and to be made to feel like I am doctor shopping. I got hit by a car I have Lupus and RA. I was made to sign a pain contract for medication that does not work for me and it's frustrating. I wish these doctors could live one day with what I go through It sucks to be made to feel like you've done something wrong when all you want to do is have somewhat of a normal life.

He does not connect with patient. He is an alarmist.Choose not to see him again

I am a 38 year old, female and mother of one 11 yr old son. I have been dealing with back pain/issues for 24 yrs. Since moving to the area almost 2 yrs. ago from Springfield, I have not had good medical care for my chronic pain. There is a huge stigma with chronic pain and my Dr. in Springfield was absolutely the best I have had. It was too far for me to keep driving there ever 3 mos. because sitting is very painful. I have been passed from dr to dr since I have been here. Finally, I made it to Dr. Varghese's office. He is offering different treatment plans & is very informative. I am hopeful for my future & can't wait for the day I am no longer a shut-in confined to my home.

I will attempt to describe my experience as briefly as possible. My son was playing with his DS, being very quiet. The doctor told my Mom to "remove this child" from the room. I said I would just turn the volume completely down on the DS. The doctor said, "no- just get him out of here." My son looked at the doctor and said, "no fair". My opinion is that he wanted my Mother out so there were no witnesses as to what was going to happen next. He told me that the physician that sent me there kept incredibly poor records on me, that the neurologist that I saw at Barnes was "inept, and did not know how to properly diagnose anyone." He wanted me to lay flat on a three foot examining bed. I am 6'1". He was irritated that I could not perform the tasks that he wanted. I could not lay on my stomach, I could not bend backwards. He said that I was not cooperating. If he would have looked at the notes, then he would have seen that I have been unable to do these things for years due… to pain. That was the entire reason I was there! I do not recommend this physician to anyone. OH! And to make it even better, the Dr. that works with him was outside the door listening and when I opened the door to leave, the other Dr. was LAUGHING! I am a woman who really needs a good doctor, and he treated me like a drug addict. On their page, it says that they give "medication recommendations", and that is what my physician sent me in for. In the office, he said, "we don't do drugs here". This doctor is rude, arrogant, and at his young age, has not figured out how to treat patients with dignity. It is not easy to talk about pain. It is not easy to describe how it affects you daily life, and he certainly did NOT want to hear it. WARNING !!!!!!!!

Was a few minutes late for appointment due to hospital telling me my appoint was at the hospital and not at the other clinic. Also staff at hospital did not give clear directions to other clinic. Like "Turn left on Providence, go 1 1/2 miles and it's on the right". Yeah right!!! Had to finally get directions from a police officer. Never received their paperwork in mail. The looks and silences given to me by staff gave the impression that I was lying. Was told the doctor was going to have to be asked if he would see me due to lateness and was told he said if there were any cancellations he would see me. Then was told he saw patients every 15 minutes. It was taking nearly an hour to do the paperwork! I asked for another appointment...December 21. I think the good Lord was telling me there was a reason for all this difficulty I was having getting to see this doctor.

Dr. Varghese was absolutely phenomenal - he understood my complex condition and offered several treatment options for me to consider. It took a couple weeks to get in to see him but it was well worth the wait. His staff was great too!
