Dr. Ebrahim Amani, MD

I saw Dr. Amani for help with a leg injury that I've been struggling to recover from for about two months now. My visit was hands down one of the most disappointing healthcare experiences of my life. Dr. Amani rushed through the exam and not once asked a question that someone who cares about their patients would have asked (e.g. how have you been treating at home? What's working/not working? What are your main concerns/struggles?). While I did get a referral to PT, Dr. Amani did not bother to send me for imaging to make sure there isn't a deeper issue, nor did he have any suggestions for how I can avoid re-injuring myself at work (the key concern I communicated to him multiple times throughout the visit). When the exam was over, I was struggling to get down from the exam table without falling. Dr. Amani looked back at me once, then left the room. Had I fallen and needed help, I would have been lying there waiting for someone else to find me. Absolutely awful experience.

Highly recommend dr amani He is remarkable

This doctor put me on a medicine that damaged my liver. When he realized his error he put me on a medicine that made me better, but neglected to tell me. When I returned for the refill and my medical records he tried to put me back on the medicine that damaged my liver, acting as if he didn't know. That rebound reaction usually results in a fatality.

Dr Amani care for you as a person. He will take the time to make sure you are healthy and understand what is happening and how to work with you to heal.

I have served clients as a patient and advocate for several years, going to doctor appointments with them to ask questions, get clarification, and help explain things to the client patient. This has been a rewarding task, and doctors, without exception, were very patient and helpful. Until today with Dr. Amani. When my own mother became seriously ill recently, I attended to her in the hospital. Dr. Amani came in, and I asked if I could approach him with some questions. He said yes, but after cutting my first question off, and stating that it was unreasonable (to ask about blood calcium levels), he raised his voice, stated I had no right to be there and question his authority, and stormed out of the room. Needless to say, we were shocked. The most hurtful line was, " I don't know who you are...you come in off the street....I have a long term relationship with these people." Excuse me? I have a 50 year relationship with "these people," and I'm their daughter, and they've asked… me to ask these questions for them. I have heard if arrogant doctors, and have known a few, but I have never seen such unprofessional behavior. Dr. Amani may be an effective physician, as long as you don't ask questions, as he sees questions as "questioning his authority." We will be selecting a new GP for my mom.

Dr. Amani is always professional and compassionate. He takes great care of myself and my family and I trust his diagnosis'. My family and I have been going to him for over 10 years and we love him and his staff!
