Dr. Edgar K Lopez

I was new to the area and all I had to go by was the reviews when choosing my dental office, unfortunately none of the reviews mentioned the dentist that I got stuck with, Dr. Lopez. I was told that I could have all my teeth pulled, get 4 implants, have an immediate denture I could use for about 4 to 6 months, then have my snap in dentures and I would love them. I went for over a year with no teeth because he couldn't get the immediate denture to fit at all, not to mention all the times I had to go back in for infections and bone fragments popping out of my gums. So the first and second sets of immediate dentures were a total waste of my money, never able to use them. Then after a whole year being toothless, not eating right, not being able to go out confidently in public, and not being able to go find work, I finally get the snap in dentures, and more disappointment. When trying to tell Dr. Lopez a couple of concerns, the top teeth were not lined up right, there was a tooth right in… the middle, and the bottom teeth were too big, they stick up way too high, the top ones got sent back to get fixed, and was told I had to deal with the bottom ones, there was nothing he could do. So needless to say, now I'm stuck with very expensive snap in dentures that look terrible, I'm more embarrassed to go in public with them than I am without them. When I try to talk to people, their eyes go straight for my big, gaudy, fake looking bottom teeth, and then they look away quickly as to not embarrass me. Avoid Dr. Lopez, you will get stuck with what he wants you to have, not what you're comfortable with. I will be going elsewhere to get some dentures that wont make me look like a monkey, unfortunately I'm going to be paying for these for the next 10 years, so it will have to wait.
