I wish I could give ZERO review! This person who is name Edmund Kwan is a Evil! I had very beautiful eyes in my mind, I decided to have upper eye lid lift surgery to enhance my look and appear younger. But clearly I received eye fold surgery instead of eye lift surgery, if the result is OK, I wouldn't need to complain but the quality of the surgery was horrible! This poorly skilled person performed the eye fold surgery instead of eye lift, the cut is not even and smooth, it goes up and down, and resulted in me not having a natural fold now. The skin was stitched very roughly where he cut under my original eye fold causing uncomfortable tightness and has not healed smoothly even more than a year later. This wrong surgery caused visually smaller eyes as result, much more hollow than before, wider distance between eye and eyebrow, big scars, and I cannot close my eyes properly. The whole result came out exactly opposite of the younger look I was wanting, especially the hollow made me… much order looking than my real age. I also believed that I was mistreated during the surgery! I was woken up by the anesthesiologist during the surgery and was told I was screaming, all I remember is that I had a nightmare with painfulness and tightness in the dream and I couldn't run. I told them and apologized. As I was regaining consciousness, I witnessed Edmund Kwan was finishing up, although I apologized about my screaming again and again, but he was visually furious, his face was twisted, his actions were like so ready to hurt someone, he was stitching my skin like stitching 2 pieces of metal together, very dramatic, a couple time I could feel the needle hit the bone under the eyebrow. By that time, I was so helpless, kept praying inside my heart let me get through this as soon as possible! On the way home I felt very painful on my left side of face, my husband told me there had a big bruise on my cheek and neck area, which did not exist before I entered surgery, I am assuming that was why I was screaming during the surgery. Very poor customer service, All they care about is the money! Because of my bad results, I voiced my displeasure, and required some explanation about my surgery face to face, but they wouldn't allow me into the office, instead calling the police. I just wanted a few minutes to talk to the doctor and although they told the police they would see me on my follow up appointment they then cancelled my follow up appointment. During the last year, I have lost most of my friends as I was so embarrassed to meet them with such poor plastic surgery results. I was very depressed for several months, even now I still have to wear glasses or extra makeup if I have to face people closely so I can hide scars around my eyes. When people asked who is older between me and husband I feel hurt as my husband is few years older than me. I used to be proud of my young look and beautiful eyes, people always thought I looked at least ten years younger than my real age. I decided to do the eye procedure to enhance my beauty and after the consultation Dr. Kwan seemed to fully understand what I wanted and assured me he would provide the results I was looking for but Dr. Edmund Kwan totally ruined it! There is clearly no upper eye lid lifting, the surgery was just cut and stitched, and now I even don't have my eye fold anymore. My whole experience with Dr. Kwan and his office was horrible! I respected him, trusted his promise and paid big money, all I got was crazy horrendous treatment, and I still don't know why. As a patient I have no chance to win the civil law suit since the court asked for another doctor's testimony and none of the doctors I spoke with were willing to do so. He is a sociopath in my eyes with no conscience to hurt his patient!

Stay away from this doctor. Do your research. Look at all Plastic surgeon rating websites. Complaints about him are everywhere. Do not pay cash. Do not pay in full up front. He hurts and disfigures his patients Intimidates especially Asian women. He is rude. Bad temper. The complaints are all real. I am a victim of this doctor.,

I am a 55yrs old woman. I was gotten the Upper and the lower Eyelid Lift Surgery by Dr. Kwan, one and half months ago. The outcome of the surgery is much better than what I thought.

Dr.Kwan is a wonderful surgeon,his approach is modern and in good taste.Every time I go to his office its' a perfect visit with my expectations being met.He has made me better looking than before being treated by him.

I agree with Chris that he only does one side of your nose and and leaves you lop sided!! How can a surgeon be so reckless!!! I am very disappointed with the surgery!!! He will leave you angry and upset!!! I'm not writing this review because I have all the time in the world I am because people deserve to know and the should take his license away!!!!

This surgeon purposely screws up so you have to pay him again or only does part of the face so that you have to pay him another 10,000 to finish the job. He has an office revision policy that lasts three months and won't operate on you for six, so once he breaks your bones or causes serious damage to your face and leaves you with crooked eyelids, cheekbones, and nose, you have to pay him again the full fee and he makes sure you come back. Once he had my money, he treated me like garbage. I never saw him again. "I have other patients to see" is his motto when I demanded to know why he did something different from what we discussed in consults. He hurt me during surgery too. He was like that during consults and I settled because he was cheap. Now I know why. Rebecca the office manager is going along with it. All of these people are vile creeps. Stay away from him. He's a dangerous, horrible man and this applies to all surgery and procedures. He will butcher you, and then… you will never see him again unless you pay him full fee again in six months after he destroys your face. That is his policy.
