I had the honor and pleasure to meet Dr. Edna Kapenhas at the Stony Brook Southampton Hospital. Her kindness and high levels of professionalism guided me to choose her as the doctor to perform a much needed procedure that changed my life for the better! I would highly recommend Dr Kapenhas to anyone looking for an excellent surgeon that you can trust.

Dr kapenhas went over all scans, mris, others tests, and the list of questions my husband and I had. She was direct and forthcoming in her explanations, evaluation, and answers. She work was excellent. Post op she was attentive and positive. Dr. Kapenhas gave us oncology and radiology referrals that were spot on. We of course, made other investigations, and came back to her referrals. I still see her regularly and consider her a gem. Michele Stevens Riggi

Seems more interested in billing. Made me wait over an hour when not a soul was in the office. Didn't focus on the issue and I left the office w/ a problem that isn't one. looking for another Dr.

Very disappointed in how I was treated as well as the communication. Do your research and you will find Cancer Centers with everything under one roof. Make sure you are comfortable and if not take the time to get many opinions. Everyone should see a medical oncologist at the same time as the surgeon after the diagnosis. The East End does not have their act together for cancer cases.
