I cannot say enough how awful this person was. He refused to treat my pain for documented MS and Degenerative Disc Disease. He claimed that I had to “learn to live with it”. Then I told the nurse I do not want to learn to live with it, I want to be treated appropriately for my emergency acute pain. He suggested I was a “seeker” which is apparently a drug addict that fakes illness in order to obtain drugs. My illnesses are documented at the Valley Hospital, going back ten years. He refused to treat the pain and then told a “crisis counselor “ that I wanted to hurt myself. I was forced to stay there for four hours in extreme and intense pain, until “cleared” by a crisis counselor to leave the hospital. The doctor refused to answer any of my questions and the button for the nurse was turned off and he refused to allow any staff except for security guards to be near the room. I could not even get up and walk. I don’t understand why this was done. This doctor caused me more pain… and he lied more than once. He refused to get me a different doctor and had 2 security guards outside of the room and a man sitting in the room watching me. He should not be able to practice medicine. When I was finally able to leave, in a wheelchair, I went to another hospital ER a few towns away and was treated appropriately. I will be filing a formal complaint and taking legal action against this awful monster.

Went to emergency room. Not a long wait but this Doctor was terrible. Had terrible pains in my lower right pelvis area when I was home on school break. Misdiagnosed with ovarian cyst but had chronic appendicitis ended up back at the ER when I was at school. Had my appendix out and they said my appendix was 3x its size and if it would have busted would have had septsis. I did in all fairness have an ovarian cyst too but that wasn't the cause of my pain.

This doctor was horrible. He was in and out and left me to been seen by junior doctors. I was asking the younger Doctor questions he couldn't answer so he had to get this doctor who was then answering the younger Doctor instead of me. Seems like he cares more about teaching than about the patient Infront

I saw this Dr. After seeing a junior staff member who Misdagnosed me. I had to submit to a reexamine by Dr Amore and also s repeat of questions. I was told by both I was having indigestion and went home. I wound up back in the hospital a day later, suffering from a heart attack! These doctors could have listened to me~I know my body. The head dr was more interested in teaching the junior one than in what I was saying. My wife thankfully called an ambulance the 2nd time and ultimately saved my life.

Dr. Amores was thorough and realized I was having a heart attack even though my EKG was normal. My cardiologist told me that it was a good thing he checked a blood test called the cardiac enzyme with my other blood tests. I have young children and my family is grateful that he discovered my heart attack...

Dr. Amores misdiagnosed me while working in the ER at NY Presbyterian. Fortunately, a pulmonologist correctly diagnosed my condition, and I am well today. I am a healthy, athletic 40 year old. I dont smoke, and was not sick, had no fever or coughing when admitted. Only a terrible stabbing pain in my chest and shortness of breath. I was told that given my history, a CT with contrast should have been done. A CT without was ordered, and based on that Dr. Amores diagnosed me with pneumonia. All I can say is thank god i am alive.
