Dr. Edward Aloysius Hart

  Dr. Hart grew up in Hasbrouck Heights New Jersey, is the oldest of 6 children, and attended Rhode Island College on a basketball scholarship.  There he met his wife Pat, and was co-captain of the basketball team.  He graduated with a B.S. in Biology and a Minor in Chemistry.  He pursued his Master's degree on a graduate assistant scholarship in the Biology Department, while also working in the Special Chemistry Laboratory at Miriam Hospital.  Dr. Hart continued his studies and earned his Doctorate in Dental Medicine from the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey in 1982.  Later that year he was accepted for and completed a one year General Practice Residency at Rhode Island Hospital, which included 3 month rotations in the Departments of Anesthesiology & Medicine.
    He began his career in private practice in association with Dr. Frank Delmonico, DDS, and Dr. Gary E. Miller, DDS, while also teaching at the University of Rhode Island.  Upon passage of the …Academy of General Dentistry's fellowship exam, 600 hours of continuing education and 5 years of practice he was inducted into the Academy of General Dentistry in 1988.  Starting in 1989 Dr. Hart has provided dental services to the under served and uninsured population of Rhode Island through the Donated Dental Service program of the Rhode Island Foundation for Dental Health.
    Dr. Hart is a member of the ADA, RIDA, the KCDA and participates with many major insurance programs.  He believes strongly in providing reasonable, scientifically sound treatment that is customized according to each patients needs.
    What sets Dr. Hart apart from other general dental practitioners, is his ability to put patients at ease with his soft spoken humor, and interesting stories.  Through every procedure Dr. Hart has the patient involved, and informed about each step he needs to take to achieve an optimal result.  His compassionate disposition makes this practice an ideal choice for new and existing patients.
    Dr. Hart resides in East Greenwich with his wife Pat, and are the proud parents of Christopher, Kevin, and Colleen.  In his spare time he enjoys playing tennis, and was part of the winning 1996 USTA Senior National Championship team.
