We was at State street smile dentistry twice: first time it was a check-up of my kids and second one treatment of my oldest son. First impression was very good, but a waiting time was more 15 min all other was ok. But when we came to Dr Jackson for a treatment I was very surprised his communication with young patients. My son has a lot of cavity, I was very sad about it, because on a last appointment in other dentist it was ok. But I do not want to delay treatment, if is a problem we need a fix it. So Dr Jackson offered a general anesthesia and I said No. Then I received a bill for a first treat $200, and the staff said me that I need to make prepayment half of it and the same for my younger son. I'm not so long in USA and didn't know well my insurance benefits, so I thought that it was ok and made a prepayment. When we came back for treatment Dr Jackson didn't communicate with my kid, which was nervous and needed a support and attention. After local anesthesia he said that we need to… take tooth out. My son was very upset and little crying. When the Dr Jackson started, my son cried more so I asked him about pain and he nod - he filled pain. I said it to Dr but he answered that my son just nervous. But my son is extremely sensitive like my husband and some times they need more anesthesia than others. So Dr Jackson continued and my son cried more. I asked Dr again about his pain, and Dr Jackson answered that it was impossible and said that he does not want to continue treatment over both of my children. I was shocked: "my son sitting in a chair with a tooth already anesthetized, he sat still all this time, yes his crying but didn't moving, and he has a toothache what he must think about dentists now? When he came he had a toothache and after dentist too. What I need to say him why he need to go to dentists if they didn't help at all?" I was so shocked that I didn't say anything, just go to the car. All our appointments was canceled for both my kids and they promised to return our money. My son was crying more because he had more toothache and I gave him analgesic and after 10 min he fall a sleep in car. Dr Jackson didn't speak with my kid, didn't try to keep him calm, maybe it is good for middle age but not for kids. After two weeks they didn't return money and I had to speak with dentistry than with insurance that again with dentistry and we had to pay deductible without treatment, and we had to pay for check up to our new dentist because our insurance cover only one check-up per 6 month. But is it my fault?
