Dr. Edward John Krowiak, MD

Absolutely the worst visit by a physician I have ever seen….and I’m a nurse! He had a student with him and was using my family member as an example commenting on her teeth. She is 93 and has been through a lot, but today’s comments were unacceptable. He was rude and turned into a salesman by the end of the visit because she didn’t want to come back, which I don’t blame her! He needs to stop thinking he is funny and instead get some bedside manors and just plain empathy for the patient. Can we ever have faith in doctors having any therapeutic communication?

Dr. Krowiak is, by far, the best surgeon I've ever had. I've had 10 surgeries, so I know a great doctor when I see one. His bedside manner is not only professional and knowledgeable, but he's funny and friendly which alleviates tension and worry. He performed a KCOT removal from my maxillary in 2014. He's the one I sought out for a nasal surgery I'm now needing. I highly recommend this doctor. As a Registered Nurse, I've seen my share of doctors who just don't care, and Dr. K is NOT one of those. He cares and he does a great job. I don't want to undergo this nasal surgery that's coming up, but my worries are minimal now that I know he's my surgeon.

I saw this doctor due to an unknown infection in my nasal passage. He did a biopsy taking a skin graft from the back of my ear and replacing it inside my nose. I was told that after he removed the infection it would not return. I did not understand how simply removing it would fix the problem however I did what my doctor suggested. when I return for my follow-up the infection had returned. The testing he did proved absolutely nothing. At this point he told me that it was probably just a symptom of my anxiety. I never denied that I have anxiety however I do not believe that this causes an infection. This is not my imagination it is there. Post surgery I have pain in my nostril all the time. I cannot breathe out of that side of my nose and best of all I have no answers. Now I would think that an ENT would be very interested to know what this unknown infection could be. A second opinion recommended another biopsy. The doctor told me he did not feel like that was necessary and he… was not going to do another biopsy. He released me from his care and on my last visit did not even bother to look in my nose. He referred me to a psychiatrist for anxiety. I have an infection in my nose with a skin graft yes that causes a bit of anxiety. On my last visit he told me that the swelling in my neck was just quote fat and there was nothing he could do about that either. He fist bumped me and asked me not to come back and shoot him. I have never had a doctor be so unprofessional and basically uncaring. He was sarcastic and nonchalant about everything. I'm honestly not sure where to go from here but any advice would be greatly appreciated.

I had been suffering from infected sinuses on my right side for months; the last two months were very painful despite a round of antibiotics. I decided I must see an ENT and Dr. Krowiak was recommended. At my first office visit, Dr. Krowiak decided to prescribe another round of antibiotics rather than to rush into surgery. When that didn't work, he ordered a CT scan. When I saw Dr. Krowiak the second time, he said my right sinuses were "a mess" and then showed me and explained what I was seeing on the CT scan. My left sinuses were clear. All but one of my right sinuses were full of infection and deformed. Only surgery would correct that, he said. I had had a DCR (by another surgeon) because my right tear duct had been blocked so there is bone missing between my nose and my eye. Dr. Krowiak performed endoscopic image guided sinus surgery so that he wouldn't cut into my unprotected eyeball. My sinus surgery was so complicated that it took twice as long as it normally takes Dr. Krowiak to… do sinus surgery. Today (the Tuesday after the surgery) I woke up breathing through my nose instead of my mouth. :) Note: It is very important that the patient closely follow directions before and after surgery. I highly recommend Dr. Krowiak.

I had a surgery to attempt to remove an unknown growth in my neck, a surgery which i have been since told by my endocrinologist and my current ENT, was unnecessary and ill advised. During the surgery, an unrelated nerve in my neck was cut, leaving me with a droopy left eye and completely inactive sweat glands on the left side of my face. Ill be paying for surgery to fix that eye, but nothing can be done about the lack of ability to sweat, which causes me to overheat and have to take crazy precautions to avoid heat stroke in warm weather. I had other complications that required follow up care with another ENT, as well as a neurologist. The office was a sh*tshow as well. After all was said and done, I received a bill for the full cost of the surgery and all related office visits; apparently, no one checked to see if my insurance company was one that they accepted. (I did not pay it, nor did my insurance company, so I'm assuming they ate that one.) The staff was incredibly… reticent to address my post op and related conditions I mentioned above. In an age of lawsuits and malpractice attorney's (I did not, nor will I file a suit), I guess I get that. However, when someone operates to find a growth, when they shouldn't have in the first place, and in doing so, they leave you mildly deformed, it would have been quite humane and decent to address those issues. The "doctor" refused to even meet with me, and after much pushing on my end, only permitted me to see one of his assistants for a single visit. I was left on my own to address the post op issues. i like pretty much all of my doctors, and I've never had anything negative to say or to write about any of them. I understand that things can be misdiagnosed. No one is perfect. However, what happened to me during surgery, the lack of willingness to address those issues, combined with the office attempting to collect thousands of dollars from me when they said everything would be covered by insurance is the worst experience I have ever had. It was absolutely shameful all around.

Dr.Krowiak is a fantastic surgeon. Highly recommended.

Dr.Krowik is a very good ENT surgeon and specialist Highly highly recommended.

Doctor was obnoxiously and rude. I have chronic sinusitis that often goes into bronchitis. He said my snot was not magical. It couldn’t do that. No, thank you! I deserve respect. I’m not going back.

This wonderful Dr. saved me from a very serious health issue regarding a tumor. A different doctor was initially in charge of my care & misdiagnosed y condition. My husband found Dr K through his website CENTA. Thank God he did. My life was changed for the better on e I met Dr K. A true professional that in my opinion is what a Dr should be: caring and a take charge individual. Thank you dr K for your kindness, the incredible staff you work with (Rudy S. ) and the way you took this extreamly scary ordeal for me & helped me and my husband through it.
