Dr. Edward Bruce McClendon, MD

I called today as I can feel a summer cold coming along. (the only thing that helps me is a Zpak) My physician I normally see is off today and tomorrow so I made an appointment for Thursday when she comes back. (Johanna is awesome very personable) I spoke with Trenice who was so rude and would not help me at all!!! Not event Dr. McClendon would help me from what Trenice stated. (I've never even seen him couldn't even tell you what he looks like) I was even willing to pay the $40 fee over the phone for them to call this prescription in to my pharmacy. They could clearly see in my charts that this is what I do take when I get any colds. (because of my anemia) This office over the last year I've noticed has gotten so impersonal it's really sad. (I've been coming here for probably 10 years) So, if you are looking for a new doctor office don't choose this one because you will not get any personal care here at all!!!! Trenice is soooo rude I don't know why she is answering/returning… phone calls to patients! Just really sad!

i have yet to see dr. McClendon. when I go and I haven't been for quite sometime you always see the Physician assistants.

If I were not seeing the PA Johanna, I would not be using Dr. Mcclendon's offices. The appointment desk is ALWAYS curt, rude, uncaring. I followed the PA from another Dr's office and that is the only reason I'm there. The front desk is not any better than the appointment desk. The only other staff member who understands customer service is the gentleman at the billing window.

Dr. McClendon is a doctor passionate about what he does. He sees tons of patients, pretty much a requirement to keep up a practice like his. I'm been impressed with his staff too. He is keen on catching any problem or anything unusual before it becomes a problem. That is impressive to me. I've been going there for years. Even when I thought my appendix was about to burst, I called them and they saw me immediately upon walking in the door and that's impressive. So, great doctor but some work needs to be done on the third party offerings. My issue is the third party folks, such as the folks drawing your blood and doing stress tests and such. They very likely will not be covered by your insurance. For example, I have what has been called a Cadillac of a policy with Blue Cross. During my physical I was told someone would be right in to draw my blood. I was handed a clipboard and told to sign a form. I should have read it. I now have a $380 bill from North Cypress Medical… Center after my insurance paid then the standard $231.53 and a bill from a Dr. Wilkenfeld that is not in my network for a more reasonable $211.15. Lesson learned: read the document no matter how busy they are and demand up front pricing. After all, I am a customer and should not have such an issue. Dr. McClendon needs to tend to this and a person you might mistake as an employee might not be. I do have to say I feel the charges from North Cypress Medical Center are excessive and a rip off. I'm to have a procedure in the coming months and I can tell you I refuse to have it done at the lovely hospital where the folks are great simply because of the fees I have been charged. When you have good insurance with a commonly accepted carrier I should not have this issue.

My family and I have been going to this office for about 15 years. The last few have been a headache! Slow service, dumb people working there. I can say that Nurse Nancy is amazing. They only one with sense. This Gilmore PA is a total idiot. Sister went in and paid for a shot and never received it and after a week is still sick. And better yet the whole family is now sick. When Gilmore was supposed to have her meds sent to our Pharmacy at noon they didn't get there until 5pm! And that's after we had to call and call to find out what was going on. I am in search of a new family doc. And will never recommend this office.

The staff have attitude. Nurses and some PA seem unhappy about their jobs. They are so harsh and disrespectful as though you have committed crime by going to that office. The receptionist, office manager and nurse of Jennifer are the worse, terrible.I hope Dr. McClendon takes care of this.

Dr. Mcclendon is an excellent doctor.he came in he spent almost 30minutes with me...he wasn't like all these other doctors he wasn't in any rush to leave. he was very happy to answer my questions and explain things to me.. I will definitely go back and see him again!

this doctor is very dry.....he is not the doctor to go too if you are sensative and have real concerns...you are like a number to him....he does not care about your feelings..I have cried in his office and he only stared at me...

I suffered from bronchitis for nearly 3 months because the Nurse practitioners never gave me the correct course of treatment (I saw 3) on top of that when I did eventually see Dr. McClendon he gave me a script for a medication I was allergic to and it stated that in my chart since day 1. Every office visit I needed to list my allergies as well as the medications I was taking. So because of his carelessness and lets not forget all the money he collected over that three month period I ended up with a very sever rash due to his negligence. It took me going to a allergist to get better. When I went to the office to inform them of the medication and the reaction I was having I got nothing from them. Later I got a message on my voice mail from a nurse that the doctor was sorry. He could not even apologize himself. And it was a sorry apology. I did like that it was so close to home but that was about it. I stayed at with this office for about 7 months and that was 7 months to long.
