Dr. Edward Joseph Patton, MD

New to Dr. Patton, this is my first male OBGYN. I had a pap smear and IUD placement- both procedures were excellent, I've never felt less discomfort. He is professional, quick, organized, relaxed, and friendly. His staff is also very professional and friendly. I'd give more than 5 stars if I could.

I asked to see Dr. Patton, based on the very glowing recommendation of a close friend. Her high opinion of him was completely justified. This was my first visit with Dr. Patton. He was warm and engaging with me, and I felt very relaxed with him. First thing he did, which I appreciated, was to ask ME to explain why I'd come in, rather than just read the notes. He was attentive, gave me time to share the complexities of my situation, and entertained all my questions and concerns. During the exam, he advised me as to what he was/would be doing at each step. I trust everything he said to me about how we would proceed. We have a followup in about two months, and I'm glad he'll do the procedure. It's a great relief to have Dr. Patton as a new caregiver on my medical team.

Cooley Dickinson itself is a hit or miss experience as are ALL medical centers. It is the providers that make a medical center, not the name or the bricks it is built to be. That being said this review is for Cooley Dickinson's Women's Health. ---- I have seen Dr. Patton several times as a patient of the practice. This feedback is not based on a single visit but with emphasis on this most recent interaction. Dr. Patton was comprehensive and took my suffering and symptoms very professionally. He listened to me struggle trying to describe what the suffering felt like and its arrival to me etc. I am so grateful that Dr. Patton is a member of my care team. I feel the comprehensive approach to me and my medical needs were priceless. The office got me in within 24 hours of making contact with the office. Forever grateful he diagnosed the kidney infection and began treatment within 48 hours of initial contact. Dr. Patton sets the bar very high for all other medical providers.
