Dr. Edward A Pont, MD

Dr. Pont has been very kind and truly cares about his patients and their families. He takes his time with his patients and if he doesn't know an answer, he follows up or gets you in contact with someone who can help.

Dr Pont has grown and grown on me over the years, and has become my preferred pediatrician at this location. He genuinely seems to care and I really appreciated how hr listened and educated rather than jumping to diagnose.

Being in the healthcare field myself for 20 years, I was astonished how he addressed my child’s weight. If you are going to talk about BMI, explain it. Not just say it’s high and not healthy. If you are that concerned about his health, take a minute to ask the parent if there are any underlying conditions before chastising. Maybe Dr Pont was having a bad day. It was prevalent with my son, born and raised in the old south where yes sir, yes Ma’am, excuse me and pardon me are still preferred. Being a new 12 year old kid to the block, instead of asking him not to address him as Sir. He preferred Doctor. Pompous much? With that being said, you can rest assured, you lost a customer and possible a few more if the read this. You should be ashamed of how you treated him and the scold an older gentleman who came in to administer injections in front of a child. Had an ear infection. He looked at it for 2 seconds and said there was nothing wrong. I couldn’t hear out of ear. Two days later my ear drum bursted open. I clearly had an infection.

I avoid this doctor but love the others at the practice. Dr. Pont always makes me feel like I am over reacting and doesn’t listen to my concerns. Each time he has sent us home I’ve had to come back in, once the same day, after my child’s symptoms became worse. I don’t need medication every time we visit, but I’m not a new parent. I know my kids.

I can't believe Dr. Pont would get anything other than 5 stars. He always listens, and most importantly, does not overreact or prescribe antibiotics unless necessary. He knows a virus from an infection and treats it respectively. He has quelled my fears on several occasions regarding potty training, illness, vaccinations, etc. We have moved an hour away, but I refuse to switch pediatricians because of his expertise.

I like this practice as a whole, but not Dr. Pont specifically. He always makes us as parents feel like we know nothing and are overreacting to things. It often takes many visits to have a problem resolved due to ignoring our concerns at the outset.
