Dr. Edward Krishna Rao, MD

I have now seen Dr Rao twice, the first time for an appointment early on in my pregnancy where he told me to go home and come back in a week that I would have a miscarriage and not to be surprised when the bleeding started (baby’s heart rate was 109 and they just wanted it 110 or higher) I am now in my third trimester. I vowed I would never see him again but after being in the ER on Saturday and not feeling well along with having some pre-eclampsia signs and symptoms. Dr Rao was the only one available to see me today. He completely disregarded me, said he didn’t even know why I was there and that he didn’t need to see me when I told him I’m still really not feeling well he said, “bring me a pregnant woman that does.” I feel very invalidated and highly recommend you don’t see him.

He s a good doctor.. very caring and friendly talk to patients.

Dr. Rao s a great doctor.. he s very friendly and positive motivators.. surely I ll give him to no1 best doctor ...

Dr. Rao is an excellent doctor, I have been a patient of his for over 25 years and he always puts the patient at ease for every appointment and spends time with you.

Dr Rao followed my high risk pregnancy and didn't follow it closely. I had a very traumatic birthing experience , was sent home two times under his guidance after having bleeding and intense close contractions . I showed up a third time, still bleeding, in intense pain. I was admitted, I eventually had an emergency c sec, another dr made the decision after baby was in major distress as well as myself(luckily dr Rao was off duty at this time )... I had a complete placenta abruption .. My baby was sent to nicu.. Thank god he is fine .. I believe Dr Rao dismissed early warning signs of the abruption.. Never did an ultrasound to find out where bleeding was coming from ..

He is very friendly easy to talk to and is someone who not just care about you medically but about your well being overall. Never fails to ask how you are doing every time I have seen him. He has been my doctor for over 17 years would not trade him for the world. great care was taken of me and my babies during and after my pregnancies fifteen years ago. Thank you Dr. Rao

I saw Dr. Rao only for confirmation of a missed miscarriage. I felt that he was very dismissive of the emotional pain of that event, trying to cheer me up by joking about how "at least I knew I could get pregnant," and telling me stories about friends of his who had worse experiences. He should have just stuck to the facts and a simple "I'm sorry for your loss." Also, for the bloodwork after that exam, I was put in a 6x6 waiting cubicle with a very pregnant mom and her toddler, while I tried not to be too obvious about crying. Miscarriages are common; an OB/Gyn office should have a protocol in place so that patients dealing with them shouldn't have to be shoulder to shoulder with the happy pregnant patients.

He was very informative and comforting!!!! Went out of his way to come down to er cause my own dr from office was on vacation!!!! He also had office make follow phone call first thing Monday morning to see how u was doing!!!!! I only usually prefer to see my original on ob in office!!! But I would have no problem seeing him!!!!

At 7 weeks pregnant my doctor told me my HcG levels were too high and that the only reason why that would happen would be if I was pregant with twins or it was a molar pregnancy. He took an ultrasound and told me it was a molar pregnancy and that I would need to have it terminated because it was not viable. They sent me to get a D&C done. I asked for further ultrasounds/monitoring and he told me no and it definitely was not a viable pregnancy.He was rude to me and uncompassionate. I went through with the surgery. They told my family and I the surgery would only be 20 minutes. I was in there for almost 2 hours. After 2 weeks had passed they called me and told me they "didnt get all the tissue they were looking for" and told me to go back to see them. My hormone levels were still doubling. I went to a different hospital and they told me I was pregnant and they did not understand why that doctor would have given me a D&C after reviewing my charts/ultrasound. Somehow my child survived the… D&C. I worried my entire pregnancy and refused to work because I was so scared. However, It still haunts me to this day. I stil worry my daughter will have problems and I constantly think of what happened. I refuse to have other children because of this. I also worry that I really was pregnant with twins and they removed one but not the other. Horrible Doctor.
