Dr. Edward Leslie Ruden, MD

I was born in the Bronx, NY. I left the East Coast the day after I graduated from the New Jersey College of Medicine and headed toward the West Coast/Arizona. I knew I wanted to become a physician at seven years of age, when I came across a biology lab while attending my uncle's graduation. I am also a classical pianist.

I have two adult children and a two year old granddaughter, all of which live in the Portland Metro area. My daughter works for Kaiser Permanente as a microbiologist in our Airport Way Lab.


About my practice

The Kaiser Permanente Division Medical Office is a very multiethnic place. I use my medical Spanish frequently and attempt to learn many new words in other languages. I am quite fluent in French as well. I see a good proportion of patients with ADHD as well as adolescents.How I thrive

I try to attain some balance in my work, family and multiple interests. I workout daily with cardio, weights, stretching and body balancing. Piano is my forte I love playing the …classical repertoire.

I am active in my synagogue and enjoy having my family nearby. I have been married to the same lovely woman for 34 years.
