CONs. Spends minimum amount of time with patient. Rarely performs physical exams for patient complaints. Tendency towards arrogance. Disparages non-MD health care providers offered by CareOne HMO (chiropractors). Never tries to get "the big picture" on the patient. Will never contact other MD to coordinate care (e.g., psychiatrist/psychologist, urologist). Too quick to refer to specialist. Unwilling to listen to points of view other than his own. I have seen this doctor for 10 years, and I doubt he has any idea of who I am, as a person. He knows me strictly from my medical file. He practices alone; there are no other MDs in his office to back him up when he's not available. If you have problem over the weekend, you are referred to your local emergency room. PROs. His staff is wonderful. If you have an urgent problem, he will see you on short notice. You don't spend more than 10 minutes in the waiting room.
