Dr vanek took care of all my surgeries I will not go to another orthopedic surgeon he has done two shoulders and two knee replacements and they've all been successful I highly recommend this doctor

Forgot to call in my prescriptions after total knee replacement and when i called his office it was after hours. When he returned my call he was yelling at me then hung up on me. He called back about 30 minutes later. Apologizing and telling me he was fighting with his wife. And he still did not call in my prescriptions.

Dr. Vanek is a great doctor. He is straight forward and to the point. Great surgeon.

I am a past patient of dr. Edward Vanek I was giving a false diagnosis of my situation I had an unnecessary surgery that was not needed. the surgery went bad the doctor was not there as he promised he would be do, that surgery left me to wear I had limited walking cannot run can I jump my leg is damaged he took a lot for me just to make some money and on top of that he had the audacity to send a paper stating that he would no longer touch or see me and I'm assuming it's because he was aware that he made a mistake total knee replacement went bad following a month later manipulation which knocked my prosthetic piece loose in 3 different purses. I am physically as well as mentally broke down and discard How could a man at Pride itself on something that he claims he enjoys doing and supposed to be good at just leaves a patient's stuck like that how do you walk away from the table who does that. This is not just a review this is a confession of a patient that was lied to and mistreated as… well as others that I know but I cannot speak for them only myself so you want a review re-read this have a second maybe a third opinion if you don't want to take mine and there's others out there just like me but whatever he diagnosed you with that will get you under the knife take my word take my body take my disfigured leg and get you a second and third opinion. Better yet get you a real Surgical Orthopedic Doctor my advice to you is go to UCSF or Stanford University when it comes to getting surgical situations done in Merced California. and I hope that he reads this our staff members and if there's any misunderstanding let me clear it up you told me I needed total knee replacement because I had arthritis what Dr Vanek you can't cut arthritis out of a person but when you cut them you definitely can give it to them what kind of human being do you call yourself or claim to be when you wake up in the morning and go to work you don't see people as a human being or a person you see us as a dollar sign I asked you specifically which I was entitled to know as a patient and by law what exactly did you put inside my leg quote unquote you stated to me don't worry about it it cost over $85,000 from that point you showed me that I wasn't a person I wasn't a human being and most of all I was not a patient. You showed me that I was a dollar sign you disrespected me in the post op you lied to me and told me you would be by my bedside when you did the manipulation to show me that you tore the muscle away and my leg was able to extend and bend once again I woke up and your words were false as your diagnostic was on me you are not there there were no pictures my leg was still bent and stuck in place two weeks later you send me and my doctoral paper or should I say letter stating that you would no longer see me or touch me. Question to you dr. Edward Vanek is the reason you turn your back on me and walked away from me and left me on the table because you knew you made a mistake well guess what your first mistake was misdiagnosing me with a reason to have a total knee replacement I did not need or half your second mistake was going back doing a manipulation and tearing my prosthetic piece loose in multiple places but the third one that you made cuz when you walked away from the table and you left me questioning disabled what kind of human being does that not a real one only a monster if you take my statements and my comments as being disrespectful or degrading you no it's just a patient that you degraded and took advantage of and left me hanging expressing my feelings and emotions because you didn't change my life for the better you made my life worse then what it was in the future I hope that you try being a better doctor than you are a mathematician because the only thing you seem to be good at is adding up dollar signs but here's one for you you will see me in court then let's see who talks dollar signs this is not to degrade you this is just My Confession and my review on my experience with you as patient if I knew then what I know now I tell myself the same thing I would tell anybody else get three opinions better yet avoid going there I'm just one of many that I've interacted with and talk to that you did some bad work on those that's running around jumping running playing working interacting I pray that you stay in good health and continue doing what you're able to do because you guys are the lucky ones

I am dying to see this MD i am in tremendous back pain. This pain is chronic and i need a professional to help me manage this. I head excellent comments abouts him being one of the best MD in town i am hoping to see him very soon.

Dr Vanek has some severe mental health problems. I have witnessed him verbally assaulting his staff, he has verbally assaulted me and told me the police were "on the way to get me". He shouted at me to get in my (exam) room and shut up. This all happened today, 4/29/15. I will testify in court that he abused me, denied me access to a toilet for two hours, and then threatened me.

Please dont even think about this dr Vanek my friend had surgery done by this horrible Md in 2012 since them she cant walk and she is in pain at all the time my friend always conplains of pain because this dr instead of helping her he put her knee worst. Please think twice before you see this guy he is the most horrible surgeon in town

dr.vanek,was a god send. He fixed my knee right up. 30 minutes after surgery, minimal pain.. I wish I would've know about this Doctor, a few years ago Truly a god send
