Dr. Mark William Via, MD

When I came to see Dr. Via, I got seated in thee am room rather quickly, but lord have mercy, I waited in that room for 1 HOUR & 30MINUTES before being seen. I was not made a priority over the older patients in the next rooms. I was forgotten & patients that came in after me were leaving before me. When he finally saw me, you knew he'd been doing his job for years & was very comfortable in his element. The process went by quickly & he left without further instructions. I was frustrated because I really couldn't get my questions answered before he left. There was no seeing him after that. I will say he's an exceptional doctor & quite honest, but lord, this office drove me insane. I'd never waited that long to be seen for only 15min.

Knee is in good working condition after surgery about a year ago now.

Dr. Mark Via is quite possibly one of the very best Orthopedic Surgeons we have in the state of California . Not only is he well trained in his chosen field ; Dr. Via stays up to date in Orthopedic Medicine. He's treats his patients like his own family with much care and compassion. He is a loving parent and spouse .

My mother was operated on by Dr. Via. Now she has more pain than before her surgery. She was told that was all he can do and dropped her.

I'm a military veteran and contacted Dr. Via's office for an appointment to do an exam to support my VA claim. When they heard it was for a claim, they said they didn't want to get involved. I wrote Dr. Via a letter requesting clarification, but he never answered. Veterans shouldn't waste their time with this doctor.

Dr Via is one of those people that I would trust to do whatever. He has proven to me and my family over and over that he is an excellent doctor. He's done both my knee surgeries, my father's Achilles, shoulder and knee, my grandmother's shoulders, and my other grandmothers knee replacement plus multiple cortisone shots. Everyone is doing wonderfully. For all the complaints of office wait, just get there five or so minutes before your appointment. Not when your appointment is. They need to keep their rooms full in order to get everyone they have scheduled for the day met. If you are not there they will fill the slot with someone else and you will be moved back. Even if he is having a busy and hectic day, you can feel assured that once he is in the room with you all he's focused on is you. I highly recommend him and if I ever needed anything else worked on I would go back to him in a heartbeat.

Dr. Via, is absolutely one of the best in his field. However, his Office Staff are not always prompt with follow-up calls, especially when re-scheduling appointments. I had a wasted six hour drive up and back, because one of the clerks did not call me on my home phone to cancel my appointment the night before. I did get a call on my cell phone, but the winter storm did not allow for reception or the message to come through. A simple call to my home number, could have saved me a 12 hr. trip.
