Dr.Westrick is a great surgeon & personable Dr. My Mom is 89 yrs.old and fell & broke her hip...Dr.Westrick did her surgery. Mom has recovered so well...Thank You Dr.Westrick & your AHN TEAM!!!

I had a fracture of the femur, that broke while I was showering, it was without a fall. I arrived at AGH Trauma ER from my hometown hospital at 11 PM and was treated, put in traction until my surgery the next day. Dr. Westrick was my surgeon, he spoke with my family and me before going into surgery, and explained the procedure and informed me that during X-rays in the ER, beside the apparent fracture on my left leg, I indeed had a fracture on my right femur, as well. 4 days after my first surgery, I had another on my left leg, During my recovery, besides seeing residents, Dr, W visited me several times, and advised my on my Rehab, because, basically, I had to learn how to walk again. After my recovery, I was seen by him several times, in a courteous and timely manner, then discharged. I am so thankful that fate sent me to AGH and ws treated by Dr. Westrick. He is the best!

This Dr is a completely calm and soft spoken all the time. Never a sign of stress or impatience! Answers all questions confidently. He and his residents performed multiple surgeries On both of my legs, and saved my ankle. He spent many hours being questioned by attorneys regarding my motor vehicle accident. I’ve been dealing with him for over two years, and his prognosis has been 100% spot on!!! Couldn’t have asked for a better Dr to be in the trauma center the am of my accident...who knows what my life’d be like without him ??

I was told with my first leg fracture repair that Dr Westrick was one of the Best! He has done two factures to the same leg and did an Awesome Job! I am constantly getting compliments on the incision on how of An Amazing job he did from my Physical Therapists to Anyone that sees the incision. They say its the best clean cut incision with limited scarring they have seen in a long time! Being A Female I Appreciate the care he has giving me. I feel he did an Awesome Job And He is the Best! I would want no other to do my surgery.

Over a year ago my husband was in a catastrophic accident at work in another state. He was in the hospital for three weeks and received 2 surgeries on his leg and one on his arm even though I continually requested for them to fly him back to AGH. Needless to say as time went by the leg was a non-union and because of the grace of God no infection ever showed up in bloodwork but when Dr. Westrick opened him up for the first time he compared it to snot everywhere (so I would understand). Bone from the ankle and tibia were infected, removed, cultured and came back Methicillin-resistant staphylococcus epidermidis, a very rare strain (not mrsa). Anyhow, Dr. Westrick made everything sound so easy when he was doing another surgery since there were steps, even though we all knew it wasn't at all but it puts your mind at ease when someone that compassionate after going thru what we did the first nine months. My family and I all feel any other Dr after knowing how severe the injuries were/are… and he was a diabetic would have removed the leg. When I told the physical therapist what he had done, another Dr. and family they were amazed and some I had to explain twice. If anyone says a family member had surgery by him, they got the best! We also always get calls back the same day by staff.

Dr. Westrick operated on my leg, which I almost lost due to a motorcycle accident, and he was absolutely amazing to deal with. I am still in his care and would not want another doctor to touch me when it comes to orthopedics. He is very knowledgeable, polite, and really cares about his patients. I'm glad that he was the one I ended up with and wouldn't trade him for any other doctor!
