Dr. Edward Alva Workman, MD

I have been going to Dr. Workman since the turn of the century. The longevity should speak for itself, but I'll add what I can for those who are not sure... Once you are his patient, each visit will start with intensive testing and compared to previous visits. The tests are easy to understand and easy to answer requiring only spontaneous responses. BP, temp and weight are also taken and monitored. With results in hand and his nurse by his side, Dr. Workman enters the room and talks to you about the results. He does not beat around the bush. He asks pertinent questions and listens carefully to the answers. The man is smart! Together, a goal/plan is discussed until an agreement is made. Along with treating me with nothing but respect and concern, I return the same feelings toward him. I also like his sense of humor.

Well after reading these reviews I figured I'd put in my 2 cents... I have been seeing Dr. Workman and his staff since 2009...from the very beginning he was upfront and straight forward. He takes you through a long interview and testing phase so he is able to figure out the BEST way to work with you and help you. I think his manners are great and he is matter of fact, blount, straight forward, straight shooting. A lot of people don't like that they want to walk into a doctors office and tell the doctor what they want and what he is going to give them...WELL Dr. Workman is not like that at all...matter of fact he is just the opposite. He will talk to and try to figure out what is the best course of action to take and then he proceeds... For those who say he is for the drug and insurance companies well they just don't know him at all...as for being able to be bought I highly doubt that... If you want someone who is going to give it to you straight and tell you like it is then Dr.… Workman is THE MAN in my book... if you want a pill pushing don't give a crap about you what so ever then do not even make the appointment because HE IS NOT LIKE THAT... Dr. Workman is one of the BEST doctors I have EVER had the unfortunately for me pleasure of going to....in other words hands down the best man for the job.....

I was seen by Dr. Workman because of workers compensation. He and his staff were very professional and curtious during the visit. Dr. Workman listened carefully to what I had to say and talked to me in a professional but not consending manner. I felt very good about the visit and would return for treatment if it had been necessary.

The best Doctor west of the French Broad River!! Plus he has sweetest people working there!!Anyone that can work with me, has a lot going for themselves. I'm a hard crack to nut..So for all of you folks that have been dealt a bad hand in life..You be patent with Dr.Workman and he will try to help you..Regards, things are looking up

I have rsd (crps) from an injury..suffereddepression because there's no cure..Dr. Workman has work with me and help me to a new normal..For that I'm thankful..

VERY ARROGANT,SELFSENTERED,UNCAREING,NONLISENING LYEING. DR. I HAVE EVER HAD THE MISSFORTUNE TO SEE.IF YOU GO TO HIM GOD HELP YOU BECOUSE HE WONT.

HAS NO REGARD FOR THE PATIANTS WELFAIR AT ALL. STAY AWAY FROM HIM . THE WORST SO CALLED DR I HAVE HAD THE MISSFORTUNE TO SEE.

This Dr. is excellent in finding out what is wrong with you. He isn't a PILL mill Dr. The one's don't like him are the one's out there looking for narcotics. He will try other options than addictive medications.

this guy will try ALL of the medications that the drug companies pay him to push...knowing that they will not help, even in the slightest, as long as he makes drug co. money along with your or your insurance co. money...probably could be bought by a patient also since he's already proved that the drug companies bought him...if you get stuck with him...good luck and hurry to get away because he'll badmouth you to alny and all of your future doctors...sincerely
