Dr. Edwin Dwight Robins, MD

Dr. Robins seems to me very skillful and know what he is doing , good bedside manner and very caring for his patient. his staffs are friendly, especially Lora and Karen. We had a failed cycle in 2019, and at some point he asked me to stop any further treatment as the odds are not good (both male and female fertility factors), in my my case, I do not feel he push me into expensive treatments or he care so much about money as some reviews said, instead he said to stop any ivf treatment as the odds will be less than 1%, and we might try controlled ovarian stimulation with IUI, but again the odds will be less than .5%, but he said, it will not be very costly for me like an ivf in case the cycles of iui did not work, I did not go for an IUI, and still thinking of it.

Edwin Robins has bad bedside manner,very rude, mean and very unfeeling, infertility is a sensitive subject and he fail to see this. patient does not have any privacy, and nothing is designed with your individual needs or privacy in mind. patient doesn't have any option of treatment other than IVF or donor eggs. Infertility and IVF is very stressful process and Edwin Robin and his staff make it even worse. unfriendly staff, my nurse coordinator was hard to get a hold of her, we have to be very persistent to get the information we needed, she messed up with my medications order and luckily I was able to catch that before my cycle start. the billing department messed up with my bill too, the over charge me for a service I did not receive , and I have to call couple times in order to be able to fix the error. Karen was the only great and friendly person.

I had a consult with Dr. Robbins. When he first met me he did not shake my hand, but looked me up and down twice before taking me back. At first he provided information and statistics and gave me my different options. He mentioned doner eggs and I politely told him I would not be interested in going that route. He then sat there and just stared at me with like a snarl. Then he said I have to decide if at 60 I want to look back, childless with no grandchildren and say I didn’t everything I could. He was very unfeeling and rude. I got tears in my eyes at one point and he seemed irritated at this. Eventually he just kept repeating the same info about IVF, which was the only option he gave me. As another reviewer mentioned, he also acted as if every other specialist and Dr I’ve seen probably didn’t know what they were doing and every test I have had done probably weren’t done properly, disregarding anything I’ve had done previously. I would not pursue any treatment with this Dr. Robbins. I… can’t imagine letting him touch me. He made me SO uncomfortable.

We saw them and did have a successful round of IVF and the nurse Karen was amazing. However I never received a bill for 3 years until all of the sudden 3 years late I get a bill for over $4000 and they tell me its seriously delinquent and I have 30 days to pay or it goes to collections. We even went in a year ago and no one said a word. They revamped their staff apparently and they are very rude now. How can I pay a bill you never sent me? Will not recommend them even after having a success pregnancy

Dr. Robins is focused on obtaining the most money from patients as possible. He jumps to costly treatment before trying less expensive and less evasive options. I left after 2 failed IVF treatments and went to SRM. I had an amazing experience there and got pregnant after 1 IUI. Dr. Robins does not look at your individual needs and I do not believe he had the best intentions in my case.

When I arrived it was like the Dr. Knew nothing about me after all records were sent to him. This maybe normal to patients but I work for a Dr. And she reviews all her records before seeing pt. His first comment was to start with ivf. I scheduled to see him because I thought he was a reproductive endocrinologist and wanted to discuss my hormones and what not. I wasted $900 in one consultation that lasted no more than 30 minutes. The ultrasound he did was quick painful joke. I have had many ultrasounds and this was suspicious. I have gone thru past successful fertility treatment and this was ridiculous. Why not start out the way it worked before. I wish I did not live so far from that Dr. Or I wouldn't have wasted time and money. The place is just out to get money.

Pros: They seem to have good lab equipments. Cons: -NO flexibility in scheduling tests and appointments which makes it hard specially when you don't live in Spokane. - They do not care about taking the best advantage of your insurance coverage. I explained my plan coverage but they did not take it into account to bill my insurance. I ended up paying for services that were supposed to be covered. - No follow up in medical treatments. They prescribed me with some medicaments before starting a fertility procedure. The treatment worsen my health conditions and I never got a follow up from them. - Finally, when I complained about the bad service in a formal claim they did not reply it nor try to do something to help me. They only care about their own interests. I wasted time, money and well-being in this place. Try any other place but please stay away from The Center of Reproductive Health. I thought the bad reviews were exaggerated but not everybody can be wrong. I hope this… review prevents others from dealing with such a bad experience.
