Dr. Efrosini Mourelatos Barish, MD

My wife and I are both patients of Dr. Barish. We have lived n Florida for the past 25 years and it has taken this long to find a caring, intelligent doctor with common sense. We feel very fortunate having her as our physician.

MY COUSIN WENT IN TO HAVE A COLOSTOMY BAG REMOVED AND IT WASN'T , IT WAS PUT BACK WHEREUPON SHE GOT A SERIOUS INFECTION, THEY FOUND A HIATAL HERNIA AND TREATED HER FOR IT AND STARTED TO DO BETTER. SHE WAS PUT IN REHAB WHERE SHE WENT DOWNHILL AND PUT BACK IN THE HOSPITAL. FROM THERE SHE STARTED DOING BETTER AND INSTEAD OF KEEPING HER UNTIL SHE COULD GO HOME THEY PUT HER BACK IN REHAB WHERE THE DOCTORS HAD NO ORDERS FOR HER PAIN MEDS SO SHE DIDN;T GET THEM OR HER MED FOR THE HERNIA AND SHE IS IN TERRIBLE PAIN.SHE BELONGS IN THE HOSPITAL.

I have Dr. Barish as my PPC for the past 3 years and have found her to be extremely pleasant, informative and caring. The supporting staff is great as well.

she was in a rush because she is over booked doesn't spend time with you due to this reason waited for 50 minutes just to get into the room then waited another 25 minutes to see the doctor. She was in such a rush did not like her at all.

Have her patient for more than 15 years, very happy with her.

Do not recommend. Not friendly, no time for patients. No doctor follow-up.

After completing an annual physical and a lab test at Quest Diagnostics, I didn't hear from Dr.Barish's office regarding the results of my blood and urine test. I had to call to find out. When I had follow-up questions, it was very difficult to get her or her assistant to return my calls. They would promise to return phone calls on the same day, but never did. I finally drove to their office. When I got there, the staff refused to check with the doctor, even when I said I could wait for her break. They would not get me the information that I needed (what further tests I need). They told me to go home and wait for phone calls. This is the worst doctor service I have ever experienced. It shows that the doctors and the staff there do not care about their patients and their patients' concerns.In addition, their prescription was so poorly written that the Quest Diagnostics staff could not understand and had to spend nearly an hour on the phone trying to clarify it with someone in… the doctor's office. The doctor's office hung up on the Quest Diagnostics woman several times. Because of it, I had to wait for over an hour at Quest Diagnostics. The people here are rude and arrogant. Apparently, that is the culture of the office.

After my visit with Dr. I asked if the blood results could be faxed as well as the urinalysis. She said when someone calls to tell you the blood results tell them to fax it over to you. Well!!!! I did 4-5 times and there is always an excuse. The assistant said she has to talk to her supervisor.. she has 2 patients to tend to and 20 calls to make!!!! I don't need to go through this kind of stress and have my blood pressure go up to get my results sent to me.... I have never had this problem with anyone else. My blood is mine and I have the right to read my results! I will go over to their office and raise a stink in front of everyone if I have to. In fact if I don't get a call within the next hour - I will get in my car and travel over there.
