Dr. Efstathia Choros

Zero bedside manner, abrasive, rude and ignorant. Ignores patients and leaves them in the emergency room until you decide to leave. Doesn’t treat properly and doesn’t speak to you in a professional manner. She is extremely mean and rushes. I honestly don’t know how she has a license to practice.

I came to the ED in a myasthenia gravis crisis. I was breathing fast and shallow, nearly completely unable to move my arms or legs, not able to speak a whole sentence, and passed out twice in the waiting room. Dr. Choros before even introducing herself said “Sometimes the ER can’t solve people’s problems, and they have to go home and solve them theirselves” as I lay there gasping. She tried to send me home in the same state as I arrived, untreated. I declined a discharge, reasonably fearing I might die at home. She then shut me in a dark room, with no access to a call button, unable to breathe or move. No one looked in that room for 6 hours when the morning team came in. This had left me with lasting damage.

Did not treat my problem. Didn't listen to me. Rude. Condescending. Worst doctor I have ever had in my life. Really. The worst.
