Dr. Ehsan Saadat, MD

Excellent, thoughtful surgeon. Dr Saadat was the third surgeon I consulted for crippling arm pain and weakness and he was the only one of the three to insist on a second MRI since the first one was blurry. On that second scan he saw a bone spur that the other two surgeons missed and was able to suggest a less invasive, more conservative surgery, fusing only one level instead of 3. The surgery was a success and throughout the process and recovery Dr Saadat has been available and an excellent communicator. Recommended.

In Jan. 2019 I fell and broke my femur. Dr. Saadat was on call so I was blessed to have him as my surgeon. Every follow up visit he was professional, through and very compassionate, answering all my questions. He took the time to show me all the x-rays and explained everything he did during the surgery. Since I have a history of having a problematic recovery from surgeries he was very cautious and paid attention to all my concerns. After my surgery I “goggled” Dr. Saadat. Something I usually do before choosing a Doctor. I discovered Dr. Saadat was a spine specialist. During my follow up visits for my leg, he took the time to discuss my back issue which was not part of my scheduled appointment. I had recently had an MRI on my back ordered by my Internist due to the severe pain I was in. I was also seeing a pain management Dr. for my back prior to my fall. Dr. Saadat reviewed my MIR to determine if he could help me. At each of my follow up visits for my leg we also discussed the… issue with my back. I was very hesitant about having surgery on my back as I had heard that sometimes the surgery didn’t work and you could end up worst. Frankly, until I meet Dr. Saadat I had never considered surgery on my back. As we discussed the potential surgery on my spine Dr. Saadat showed me the x-rays and scans he also ordered. He explained the procedure in great detail along with answering the typed pages of questions I brought to my appointments. Never did he every rush my visits and he would ask if I had any additional questions. I finally scheduled the surgery for two months out as I was still apprehensive and needed time to think about it once I decided to have the surgery. I had complete faith in Dr. Sadat’s ability as a surgeon, but I’m 75 years old so there were other things for me to consider. The morning of the surgery, he had his lap top with him and we discussed the procedure and viewed my ex-rays again. Dr. Saadat did a lumbar decompression on my spine. Prior to the surgery, I walked with a walker and used a wheel chair. I could not stand up straight without screaming in paid. I had no life, only pain. It’s been three months since my surgery. I’ve retired my walker and wheel chair. I can stand up straight and only walk with a cane because my balance is very bad. Physical therapy is working on that. I now have my life back. I’m attending social events, doing volunteer work and gardening. I would like to add that Dr. Saadat is very caring, compassionate, has an excellent bed-side manor and sense of humor. I fell down a 50 foot steep hill while hiking. I lateral breaks on each wrist. Dr. Saadat performed the operation to put in a plate with screws on each wrist. His technical ability is second to none, and the breaks each of my wrists sustained have healed perfectly. I was quite worried after the operation because I not only teach tennis but am active in many sports. I can safely say that I am on the mend and soon will be swinging a racquet soon. I would recommend Dr. Saadat to anyone that requires an orthopedic surgeon. He is also a really nice guy who cares a great deal about his patients.
