Dr. Ei Shun Lin, MD

Dr Lin is oriental and sometimes I don't know what he says, even after 14+ years with him. He's easier to talk to when he is asked to "say what you said again please." Or is asked to slow down. I have Multiple Sclerosis and my pain (which is severe without intervention), is in my lower legs and feet. He knows his stuff and his skills are excellent. He tried different procedures to help relieve my pain and finally, the one that has worked for me the best is an implant which delivers 3 different strong meds in combination, and it is set at a certain rate so the damaged area in my spine from the MS is continuously receiving this mix of medications which has given me the relief I need to be able to function as close to normal as possible. I can drive and go places where as before I was on so many oral pain meds that only helped the pain a little and I was in bed most of the time. MS pain is different and can be so severe because the pain comes from the nerves that control the feelings in… my feet. Its horrible! Thank God for Dr Lin and his excellent skills that I have good relief of pain and can function normally. Yes he does talk about exercise but he is right and knows what he's talking about. If everyone exercised the areas that hurt (as directed by your Dr), there would be far less pain in our population. It has helped me! He will talk about certain exercises or ways of living which has helped him to keep fit and in good shape for his age. He has helped me a lot by encouraging me to try different things to help me as a whole. He wants to help people but although he knows English well, his accent does get in the way a little but he never minds someone asking him to say it again, etc. He has always treated me kindly and as I said before, his skills are excellent. I don't know of anyone else I'd trust to do the things he can do to help pain. He has been a God Send, in helping me in relieving my pain since I got Multiple Sclerosis. This man has NO bedside manner. Talks a lot about himself and does not listen to patients. He thinks he is the only Doctor in the world that knows anything. Will talk down to you like you don't know what your talking about. He thinks exercise is the cure to all that all things.. I would not recommend him to anyone.

I liked him a lot. He finally found what was overlooked by three other specialists. I have been told the wrong thing by other doctors with great reviews. They gave up on trying to figure it out. They gave up on me. Dr. Lin listened to me, studied the reports, and studied the MRI to form a logical diagnosis. Everything the other doctors ignored. Yes he was toughed to understand, but he will keep trying as long as you do. Excellent staff, as well.
