Dr. Elaine Marie Ellis, MD

I met Dr Ellis in 1978, while hospitalized at Keesler AFB in Biloxi, MS. I had rheumatic fever which resulted in a massive heart attack. She was a part of the medical team who worked diligently to save my life. She was extremely kind to me and I have never forgotten her! I am sincerely grateful for the compassion, care and support she shared with my family and me. I was 11 years old at the time and cannot remember if I thanked her. THANK YOU FROM THE BOTTOM OF MY HEART. It is still doing it's job after all these years because of you and Dr. Vizcarrondo. Love, Arnel Foreman

Dr. Ellis was very helpful with getting our twins diagnosed with nonverbal autism. She got us in faster than any other doctor available. I called everywhere. We are planning on moving out of state soon and she even called ahead there to see what services are available for my kiddos. She was even concerned about my health issues and was able to give me some questions for my PC doctor to get me headed in the right direction. I am so grateful we got in to see her!

Dr Ellis is cold and offputting. I would recommend everyone even thinking of taking their children to Dr Ellis to RUN and fast. Her staff is disorganized and dishonest and Dr Ellis is short and condescending. It's a shame that someone with this type of demeanor chooses to work with children. Doctors like her are the reason us parents of special needs children have to act like crazy people. Same on you Dr Ellis, you're people skills and lack of accountability are shameful.

My son sees numerous specialists and we are often waiting hours to be seen for all of 5 minutes. Dr Ellis is the exception. She is always on time, and is very thorough with us, sometimes spending over an hour discussing developmental concerns. She is very caring and takes the time to discuss various options. Highly recommended!
