Dr. Elena Ruiz, MD

Dr. Elena Ruiz received her bachelor’s degree from the University of Texas at Austin, and later received her medical degree from the University of Texas Health Science Medical School at Houston. She completed her pediatric residency at New York University Medical Center and is board certified in pediatrics. After finishing her residency in New York, she moved back to Austin and joined Bee Caves Pediatrics to work with her father, Dr. David Ruiz, co-founder of Bee Caves Pediatrics. She and her father practiced together for 2 years before he retired, passing the family medical practice to his daughter. (Read the article about this father-and-daughter team.) She is married with three loving children, Vincent, Eva, and Nicolas. Her husband, Dr. Lee Moroz, is a well-respected interventional spine physician in Austin. In her spare time, Dr. Elena Ruiz enjoys cooking, gardening, and playing tennis with her family.
