I Suffer From A Myriad Of Health Issues... About 13 Years Ago I Was Hospitalized At Holy Name Hospital Located In Teaneck NJ After Being Seen In The Emergency Room The Attending Physician Advised That I Be Admitted.. I Was A Patient For 12 Days.. It Was During This Extended Stay That I Met Dr. Djebiyan And Her P.A. Patty Ann.. I Had The Occasion To Be Examined By Multiple Physicians... I Was So Impressed By The Knowledge And Compassion Shown To Me During My 12 Days At The Hospital That Upon My Discharge I Made An Appointment To Be Seen By Dr. Djebiyan At Her Office... I Must Add That Was Probably The Best Medical Decision I Have Ever Made... I Currently See Several Specialists... Dr. Djebiyan Is My Primary Doctor, Her Competence And Compassion Are Unparalleled...She Is A Remarkable Practitioner...5 ??

I’m reading those reviews and I’m shaking my head in disbelief . I can not disagree more with some of them. Dr Eli is an excellent physician, she has been my doctor for 15 years. My whole family has her as their Primary Care Physician including my brother in law who is a Physician himself . Never had problem getting an appointment if not the same day, next or same week. I understand how busy she is and if I don’t get a phone call I just send her an email. Always got an answer. I moved to PA and I still come for my appointments to NJ! I would not trust anyone else. Few times I was very late for my appointment and Dr Djebiyan waited for me after her office hours. Does your doctor do that? People are complaining here about long waiting time. Really? Have you been in other offices? I have. I had few different doctors before and despite scheduling my appointment months ahead of time I never waited less than 2 hours. Someone was seen before you? It is up to the doctor’s discretion who and… when she sees, there is a lot of things happening behind the scenes that you might not be aware of. Perhaps it was something urgent and that person couldn’t wait. I have physicians in my family so o know a little how their day looks like, it does not begin with office hours and it does not end with it. It starts way before that early in the morning when they do rounds in the hospitals and nursing homes, then office hours, then hospital again and maybe house calls, and mind you they “ on call” 24/7. And yes ,Dr Eli has a family too and a life outside her practice. Hard to believe right? Again she is the best doctor one could have!

Her first name is misspelled, it's's Elie and is a female doctor. I personally won't go back and do not recommend anyone there. The staff are friendly but the doctor herself somewhat unprofessional. Not to mention that I waited over an hour for her, while she was chit-chatting (so loud that I felt I was in a flee market) instead of taking care of patients on top she saw another patient before me whose appointment was after mine. She spent less than 5 min with me and left in a hurry to continue to chit-chat. I had a severe shock type of pain in my right arm all the way to.my thumb while she was withdrawing blood and even though I screamed and complained of pain she continued and kept giving excuses that there are no nervous system in this part (where she punctured my arm) where in fact there is. She was careless and completely ignored my complaint. After she was done taking my blood she left all the trash right next to me (needle cases, band-aid and alcohol patch covers, etc). Do not… feel going back neither would recommend anyone there.

As far as having to wait, please give me a break! She is a doctor and cannot possibly know how long each patient is going to take. But she is a great doctor. And she always gets back to me and encourages me always. I love her and her staff. Yes, they are a little gruff but I have seen first hand what they put up with. I have ocd and sometimes I think if I were them I'd get upset too. But when I go there they are really good to me.

I have to disagree with the other reviews. She takes her time with each and every patient thus you may have to wait a little longer as opposed to other doctors who bum rush you out the door. While she may appear to be gruff she is actually very caring and takes her time to explain her diagnosis and treatment. She saved my life when a neurologist misdiagnosed me with migraines ,when in fact I had a brain tumor which left untreated would of resulted in my death. I owe this doctor my life because she took the time needed to treat me correctly

I was assigned this doctor at Holy Name hospital as my own internist is not affiliated there. After being admitted through the Emergency Room for pneumonia on a Sunday afternoon, I met Dr. Djebiyan on her Monday AM rounds. She requested that I stay till Tuesday so I could receive additional IV meds. As this was contrary to what I had been told in the ER - that only one night would be needed, I was a little put off. The ER had given me the option of being admitted for one night or going home with meds. If I would have known better, I would have left and followed up with my own doctor. She did say that she would review my XRAY and with no promises, would see if I could be released that same day. Silly me, I didn't know that I had to ask her to get back to me with her decision. Even the RN expected her to look on the computer and let us know. But she didn't share that decision with any one. She was then "missing in action" for the next 31 hours !!!! She never responded to the… hospital pages, never did AM hospital rounds even though her office hours did not start until 11:30AM. She sure had a better morning than I did. I was forced to wait in the hospital for her arrival at 6:10 PM to be discharged. She had hospital patients who were never seen for over 31 hours. She then proceeded to argue with me. She told me I was right about her not letting me know her decision was for me to stay the extra night, but then told me "not to rub it in" ???????? This is professional? When she arrived at 6:10PM, I asked the head floor nurse to be present as I did not want any more confrontations with her. She sat herself down and proceeded to tell me that this was all an "ESL" problem. ???????????? I told her I was not going to argue with her, just do what you came to do and leave. When i was home I was curious to check on her reputation. Well, it isn't just me! I have never tried to hurt anyone's reputation before, but in this case I was compelled to add my voice to others. Find yourself a more compassionate doctor who cares more about her patients then this one.

SHE IS RUDE,NO MANNER,THE OFFICE IS DISGUSTING,NO WATER FOR THE PATIENT,NO TISUE,HER MA ISNT PROFESSIONAL WITH MANNER TAKE BP,PULSE,TEMPERATURE...PARKING IS DIFFICULT,WE WAITING AT 2 TIME APPOIMENT 50 MINUTES,LAST TIME WE LEFT THE MD OFFICE VERY MAD,SHE NEVER CALL US FOR APOLOGISE...

This person will send you to anyone and everyone so she does not have to do her job in diagnosing and treating your illness. She never returns phone calls and if you should speak with her she is rude and unprofessional in her tone and manner. She is also that way in person. There is also never any parking and difficult to find parking. Save your life and do not use this person that calls herself a Dr. she has not been that in my experience and I would never recommend anyone use her.
