Dr. Elie Ramon Soussan, MD

Dr Soussan was the attending doctor at Monmouth medical when we came in. He was getting off his shift at the hospital when my daughter came in with a medical emergency. Instead of continuing with the shift change he extended his time and did the surgery himself. He explained the entire procedure to us before and after (even showing us pictures). He and his team went above and beyond to make us comfortable and get my daughter through a surprise medical procedure and offered his service for follow up in the next few weeks. He was wonderful to a very nervous, stressed family and we deeply appreciate skill and professionalism.

very compassionate and great bedside manner

Dr. Soussan was rude, curt, uncaring, and downright mean. Besides that he made the wrong decision about my medical care, which caused me to hemmorage badly and need a D&C. I strongly don't recommend.

Dr. Soussan acted like a know it all dr but in reality he was very wrong about the information he gave me. He told me I would have to get a c-section but when I went to another dr he told me I didn’t have to one. In the end I had a baby boy naturally!

Terrible dr. Doesn't give you the time of day and cuts you off in middle of asking questions. Told me that my pregnancy related issues with my legs are not his department and I need to see a podiatrist. Also told me I don't have varicose veins-which i definitely do- without even looking at my legs. Very, very unhappy.

seems very smart doctor. not such good bedside manner

Dr. Soussans age shows. His comments are sharp and very matter of fact, with no concern of how the patient may feel. Bad bedside manner. Doesn't make you feel comfortable or calm.

Didn't explain his reasoning on denying a specific lab test. Also rather rude while delivering. Never came back to check up.

As a new patient at the practice, and getting to meet all of the doctors, I learned that Dr. Soussan was completely disinterested in being there, and it was his goal to get me out as quickly as possible with the most minimal effort required (I was the ONLY patient in the office that morning). I waited for over 1/2 and hour, and the actual appt was less than 5 min. Luckily my experiences with the other professionals in my previous appt were better, or I would be looking for a new practice.

Dr Soussan was more than thorough with me and made sure all of my questions were answered. Being at the gynecologist is not a comfortable place for me, but that all changed with this practice. The nurses are sweet and caring, who care about the privacy of patients in the waiting room. Dr Soussan made me feel at ease with his calming personality and beautiful bedside manner... And even followed up after the appointment! I would recommend this doctor and this practice to all my friends and family! Love dr Soussan!
