Dr. Elisa Shanee Gallo, MD

My husband and I saw Dr. Gallo for a full skin check and exam of some areas of concern. We were both very pleased with her professioanlism, bedside manner and overall skill. She was a master at putting us at ease when she found some areas of concern and kept us involved in the decision making process. We have not been to a dermatologist in yearsm but we have found our new provider.

My dermatologist retired, so I read the reviews for Dr. Gallo and was very impressed. I went in for my yearly cancer skin check which is always a challenge because I have numerous moles. Sure enough, after a thorough examination, Dr. Gallo found 3 suspicious looking moles. She immediately treated me for them. Some doctors would have said to make an other appointment and would have treated them later. She told me ……I can’t let you leave without me treating you right now. I was so impressed with her take charge attitude . She is so professional. I highly recommend her.

I contacted my regular dermatologist's office to have an annual body screening. I couldn't get an appointment for almost 6 weeks from when I called. I noticed that Dr. Gallo was a new provider at the dermatology location I go to. I called and was able to get an appointment with Dr Gallo within a few days. Dr. Gallo performed my body screening herself. I just want to say that her care and compassion is unsurpassed to any dermatologist I've ever seen in the past. Her diagnosis was spot on. She took the time to ensure that the surgery she performed for basil cell was completed to absolute perfection. Dr. Gallo also took the time to clearly explain to both me and her assistants what was being done and why. Dr. Gallo is definitely my dermatologist from now on. Thank you Dr Gallo!

I have been to many dermatologists in the past 10 years - some good, some mediocre, some rude & incompetent. I can think of one that was extraordinary like Dr. Elisa Gallo, but this ranking is hard to come by in my book. I don't even know where to begin - Dr. Gallo is always warm and welcoming, sweet and compassionate, no lack of smiles to put you at ease. She cares about her patients to the nth degree and is a perfectionist when it comes to their care. If she happens to be late by a few minutes, it is probably because the patient before needed a little extra attention. Not a physician who rushes you out, she gives you all the time you need (and deserve). And strangely, I wouldn't mind waiting a bit for her as she's worth the wait. Not only is she competent, her knowledge of aligned medical fields is remarkable. If she isn't sure about something, she seeks consultation and doesn't guess. Her body checks are thorough, her surgery is precise, she hates it when a patient has to wait for a… biopsy report over a weekend and checks often to inform them, she really knows her patients. Golden hands and golden heart, this one! What more could a patient ask for than this kind of dedication?

Dr Gallo was a pleasure to meet and very thorough with her exam. She made me feel at ease and explained each issue she found during a routine exam. I would highly recommend her.

I recently moved back into the area and wanted to continue my practice of an annual skin cancer screen. Could not believe I could not get an appointment for a full year! A friend recommended Dr. Gallo and I am so glad she did! I was able to get an appointment at the Barrington location within two weeks. Frankly, of all of the dermatologists I have had, Dr. Gallo was the finest! She was patient, respectful, willing to answer all of my questions. She also took the time to explain what certain things were and why. A totally different experience than what I have had with other dermatologists (and frankly other specialities). The appointment was low stress - something that doesn't always happen. Thank you Dr. Gallo for your knowledge, kindness, and willingness to be a partner with your patients!

Saw Dr. Gallo in the Barrington office after a frustrating time with another large Dermatology Practice. She took the time to explain the test results and the needed treatment to me, where the other practice had failed. She scheduled me quickly for the surgical procedure and found a way to make the smallest incision possible while ensuring the optimal outcome. The results are amazing! She listened to my concerns about scheduling around upcoming travel and gave me options when available. I was SO relieved to find a competent, compassionate, available doctor. Thank you Dr. Gallo

I saw Dr. Elisa Gallo for the first time today at Dermatology Partners in Sterling. She identified what was going on, explained why it was happening, and laid out the various treatment options I had. I liked her approach and felt like she genuinely cared. I’ve already told my wife about her so she can make an appointment with her. For those of you out there looking for a dermatologist I highly recommend seeing Dr. Gallo. I sure hope she stays here in Sterling!
