Dr. Elisabeth Clare Bassler, MD

Dr. Bassler is intelligent, intuitive, caring and kind. She is thorough with her exam, answers all questions satisfactorily and makes referrals to specialists when appropriate. She, or her nurse, is responsive to phone calls or messages.

Dr. Bassler is extremely thorough, knowledgeable and kind.

This was a new doctor for us. I made an appointment three months in advance for my kids to get their annual checkup with Dr. Bassler. Two days before, she canceled and they couldn't schedule us in with her in time for my kids to get their proof of physical checkups into the schools (which are required for many kids sports activities). I could only see a nurse practitioner. Flash forward one month and my daughter needed to see a doctor for severe back pain. Again, couldn't get in to see Dr. Bassler and the nurse practitioner was booked out too. I want to mention that there is a front desk staffer who is awful. Asks no questions, offers no options. And when I asked her to provide me options or suggestions - she belts out at me "What do you want me to do? I looked around the schedule for you? If she's not available, she's not available." I called her on her attitude and told her that her job was to assist us - THEIR PATIENTS - to find the next best option should there be no available… appointment. Recommend someone else, send us to Children's, offer SOME guidance? This is the rudest, worst-trained front office staff. They really don't care. We will be leaving without ever meeting Dr. Bassler but given her office staff, I'm not confident I want to.

So thorough

Dr. Bassler is very caring, supportive and respectful, as well as being an excellent diagnostician. I like that she takes the time to answer my questions thoroughly. She truly listens to my concerns and is not dismissive as my previous doctor was. She refers me to the a specialist when appropriate.

My experience with Dr. Bassler has been positive. She called me on a Saturday to discuss test results with me. (I was expecting a call back on Monday.)

No bedside manner. Speaks to people in a condescending manner and judges them for their ailments. If you want to see a doctor who makes fun of you and taunts you then see Dr. Bassler.

Loving caring doctor dr. Bassler is a loving caring doctor, does not try to rush you through ! She listens advises and is not judgmental.If you want a great doctor I wouldn’t recommend her without reservations.

Dr. Bassler is the best family doctor. Really the best. She's kind, compassionate, thorough, listens well, and knows her stuff. So good with my kids, too. Couldn't ask for more.

I love that Dr. Bassler spends time with you...once she's with you. I hate that I have never in the 10 years that I've been with her that she has been less than 20 minutes late and many occassions 45 minutes. I've even called her office before leaving for my appointment to see if she is on schedule and the staff always say she's on-time. I arrive 15 minutes later, I'm brought into the room w/in 15 mintues and then I sit and usually fall asleep. I've stayed with her because of the time she spends with me and her bedside manner. I believe she really does want to explain everything to you and make sure that she doesn't miss anything. Unfortunately, I can't afford the time anymore.
