Dr. Elisabeth Lorna Evans, MD

Amazing doctor, makes you feel so comfortable and at ease :)

She has been my Doctor for 17yrs. and two children. She is awesome. She is very personable.

I waited a long time to come back to Dr. Evans. She wasn't a provider on my previous insurance so it was 15 yrs. I feel very confident in her abilities enjoy her kindness and feel totally at ease in her care.

She is experienced, straight forward, answers questions honestly (which I value, even if I don't like the answers), provides excellent medical advise and truly, genuinely cares for her patients. I don't comprehend the negative reviews here, a plausible explanation is that she is busy and might come across brusque and lacking bedside manners but I COMPLETELY DISAGREE. If you are looking for a doctor who you want to chat with and be your friend, perhaps she is not the one who you are looking for. On the other hand, if you want a true professional, who takes good care of you and your child, I highly recommend her.

I would not recommend her at all. It doesn't matter that she might have been voted as top obgyn few years back. She misguided us during our preg. I was having a medical condition (large uterine fibroids) should have been treated in the first place. She knew about it and still suggested that we tried conceiving. And unfortunately the already large fibroids enlarged even more during pregnancy and ultimately resulted in a 16 wk miscarriage. This could have been avoided had she appropriately treated my fibroids condition before. Added to this she was completely insensitive to my loss and didn't express much sorrow - perhaps this was matter of fact for her?

Without Dr Evans I could not have made it through my pregnancy. She was always supportive and calm and kept me from anxiety. She was very reassuring and supported my VBAC. Without her I would have given up. She was absolutely wonderful at the delivery of our son. Thank you Dr Evans. We love you.

Dr. Evans has been, in a word, wonderful.I had just moved to Issaquah when my first pregnancy began and I was nervous about being able to find a doc who was warm and caring and who would answer my questions. It can be a scary time. I saw that Dr. Evans was named a top doc by Seattle Magazine, but then when I read some of these reviews, I was a little worried.I needn't have been. I'm so glad I came to see her!Dr. Evans has been everything I hoped to find in an ob/gyn. From the very first ultrasound, she has seemed nearly as excited for our pregnancy as we are ...my husband felt totally comfortable with her and even joked around with her a bit. :) It's so fun watching our video of the ultrasound, because you hear Dr. Evans letting us know that everything looks just perfect ... and then she points out what everything is on the screen for us. Not rushed in the least.She takes time to answer my questions and is genuinely kind and encouraging during every visit. Her staff have been… enthusiastic and helpful, and when I call the office with questions, I always get a call back the very same day. Her main nurse, Chen, is also a sweetheart.Dr. Evans loves moms and babies and it shows very clearly!

I have seen Dr. Evans for the last two of my four children after moving from overseas. She has never treated me rudely, been brusque, pushed me towards a c-section, or any of the other negative comments by previous posters. She is, however, very busy. Dr. Evans would always answer any of my questions in a very polite and straight-forward manner (she was never condescending to me), but she was not one to hang around in the exam room and chat. If you are looking for a doctor to hold your hand and be your friend, I would try somewhere else. Otherwise, I find that Dr. Evans walks a wonderful line between being safe and not using too much medical intervention. The one time we waited 45+ minutes for an appointment, it was because she had delivered twins that morning--both vaginally, including one that was breech. Most doctors would have gone straight to a c-section. I was impressed. It has taken me a while to get used to Dr. Evans (and the whole American medical system in general),… but I do believe she does really care about her patients.

Dr Evans has the worst attitude, she does not care for her patients. She is impatient, rushed and rude to the poit of being caustic. I saw several other doctors in her clinic and they are not much better so I transfer care to another clinic which treated me much better.

She is a BAD doctor! She lies and then she tries to cover up her lies! I call to make a apt and it seems like a new person answers the phone every time! Plus, I heard she is worst MD to work for! She has been through so many different staff it is unreal! The labor and delivery dept. at Overlake Hosptial all think she is the worst Ob/Gyn they have that uses their facilites! Do not go to her! You would be beter off seeing someone else that cares! She is old and a witch to everyone! Maybe one day she will think about how she treats her patients and her staff! Hopefully, her staff will get a clue one day and all leave at the same time! She needs to shut her practice FOREVER!
