Dr. Elisabeth Barbara Leimer

I paid over $16,000 for facial and lipo treatments at Monarch. Dr Leimers work (liposuction) was sloppy and incomplete. There is a band of fat below my navel that I mentioned to her in our first conversation following the surgery. First she said it would go away, then she said it would flatten out if I wore stiff foam under my post-surgical garments, then she said it was there because I was sitting too much and even suggested it was there because I did not come in for enough follow up appointments (huh????). Then she suggested I talk with a consultant (who suggested additional treatment). At this point Dr Leimer said that with additional treatment I would get very smooth results. That is what she said the first time! What I have is very lumpy results. I already paid for this area to be treated and I dont think I should pay again. Finally she said that this is not fat it is loose skin. (Two weeks prior she was going to treat it with lipo, now its not fat?) I can lift the… little bit of skin around my belly and the line of fat is obvious. It is not loose skin. It is a line of fat that she was supposed to treat but didnt. And from all our conversations it is apparent that she wants this somehow to be my fault.Other complaints:My original consultant (Renee) disappeared after my surgery. Everything that was discussed and promised in the consultation disappeared with her. On the day of surgery, in the pre-surgery room, in a robe, medicated, I was presented with papers to sign off on regarding the surgery. Inappropriate? Unethical? I drove over an hour for follow-up appointments and often did not see a doctor. On one follow-up a consultant came in and looked at my oozing incision and told me It looks great. (That incision leaked for over a month and left a large scar.) Overall, the bad outweighs the good. Sloppy, uncaring treatment is what you can expect at Monarch with Dr Leimer.
