She has tremendous knowledge, and isn't afraid to recommend things that patients really need even if insurance companies don't want her to. She may have saved my daughter's life!

Insisting that a child has challenging behaviors due to autism without reading reports from educators, OT's, and SLPs or conducting an FBA and recommending boiler plate discrete trial therapy for 30 hours per week is out of date. Not all educational facilities are anti-family, anti-child, and anti-ABA, just because they are not conducting trials 6 hours per day. ABA has progressed!

Dr. Caronna diagnosed my son as PDD-NOS without even performing a formal evaluation. To be clear, she did not perform ADOS or CARs; she just gave him a looksee and said he's PDD. And she printed out the diagnosis and prescription for treatment on a form letter. On second opinion (with some one else), the diagnosis did not hold up. She tried to push intensive "ABA" behavior based therapy on my son, which would have been totally inappropriate. Your child deserves better than a sloppy diagnosis printed on a form letter.
